I don't know GH but I suppose the relationship between Lane and his son is similar than CC and Mason's. And at the end the embrace is so nice! Like it!
Thanks! The best thing about the relationship of Lane's character with his son was the very good actor who played the son (Chad Brannon), and Lane is a great actor as we know. The bad thing, IMHO, was how the writers played that promising card... :\ Lane's character was so inconsistent, turned out to have been inexplicably dumb and cruel to his son... Actually Davies and Brannon left the show almost simultaneously.
Later, Brannon played Hamlet in the show directed by Lane Davies. :D
