There was once a film called Man About Town which used this particular track to perfection. And then there was a film called Seven Pounds which tried to do the same but sucked. A beautiful track. Deserves multiple listens amidst respect.
Saw this around 2006. couldn't stop listening to it in the midst of much existential confusion.
This piece shuffled too much deep inside me, I kind of feel like crying along, yet it also provokes unspoken promise of creation, of reconnection, of raw purposefulness borne of intuition, come about when in full presence of the moment and steeped in awareness, while plugged to one's most suited tool for expression, with the highest level of passion.
@splaceman Wow....Your words left me breathless and like an idiot I've been trying to express what this song evokes in me and you just did, word for word...Literally. wow. Thank you. You have a gift, stranger, you really do.
Yeah, Sigur Ros was like the first thing that poped into my head when I jerd of this. I don't know much on this singer, and his songs, so I can't say he's amy better, or worse then them, but I can still recoment Sigur Ros.
these kind of oversimplified comparisons that only tred the surface of creative work are evidence that some people really miss out in the intricacies that constitute a work of art. Sure both artists are 'mellow' harmonies and melodies but Viola's work negotiates a different kind of complexity in it's layering and both Sigur Ros and Him draw from quite different sources of inspiration.
AHA! This is what it's supposed to look like! Totally brilliant, man. It's a great sounding song, pretty intense. The imagery is just amazing. Thanks for making and posting this. I'd love to see a more clear quicktime of this video.
All I can say is - beautiful. Just beautiful. Have to do it twice tho, once, watching in awe, and the second time I am finding myself closing my eyes to dive head on into the harmonics and soul-driven glory of it all. (Your version of Silent Night is stunning btw) - thank you for the music, please never stop...
found you via em411. your stuff, and this piece in particular is beautiful. I love how you made this video too... great idea. Thanks for sharing. If you're curious, check out "and then..." when you get a chance. see you... somewhere... best, ant.
