  • I don't know the name of the tune. How about "I Got Ribbon"? Ha!

    So funny! Good one.

  • A typewriter? What was that?

  • Holy Bill Finger, Batman!

  • I saw a photograph of this, over 40 years ago. And now, finally, I see the actual film. it must've been tiring to perform for all concerned, from Lee and Ruby on the typewriter keys to all the girls having to lie on their backs and repeatedly kick their legs.

  • Wow!! : )

  • Awesome!

  • What movie is this from?

  • @4262009AP Ready, Willing, and Able (1937)

  • @Tap2323 Thanks, I was actually looking it up as you told me. Thanks for uploading this it's amazing to see what they did with musicals back in the '30's.

  • What a fantastic chance to see Lee Dixon. Six years after this clip was made, Lee Dixon starred on Broadway as the second male lead in "Oklahoma" (1943). Lee Dixon played the original Will, the boy friend of Ado Annie (Celeste Holm). In Oklahoma", Lee Dixon introduced the songs, "Kansas City" and "All Or Nothin' " (with Celeste Holm).

  • I love this, and Ruby Keeler!!!! My kind of taps!!!!!!!

  • who was Ruby's partner?

  • It is Lee Dixon.

  • @Tap2323 ~ He played Wil Parker in the original Broadway production of "Oklahoma," and was dead at 38 from acute alcoholism. Pity.
