Yes, same name. David Angell who was one of the writers, producer, and creaters of "Wings" and "Frasier". The real Roz Doyle was close friends with him and wrote several "Wings" episodes, but she died of breast cancer back in 1991. He named the "Frasier" character after her in her memory. David Angell died in a plane crash back on 9/11. His plane hit one of the World Trade Centers.
