The super cub is an amazing plane! I would recommend it to anyone interested in getting into this hobby and its price is unbeatable! After about three years the foam gets too soft to fly with:( thats the only down side.
i downloaded this demo call G4 rc airplane and it really help train me on the flight and condition, i would strongly recommand this demo for any new pilot out there, plus u can crash all u want and it wont cost u a thing heheheh
great video. after watching it, i went out and tried some inverted flights myself. it was pretty easy, and alot of fun, i posted a video of my results too.
hey nice vid man!!! ive got some vids of mine on the way!!! inverted flight is on the top of my list.... way cool song too!!!! i havent heard that song since it was on "The Wizard" soundtrack!!!!
ive still got my supercub havent flown it for a while but this video has reminded me how much fun it is. I have a PZ P-51D now but the supercub is awsome, im gonna have to dust of the wings and take her up.
Got the cub, took it out, wind 24 km/h.. had it up for a minute and a half, then it dropped a little as the wind hit the top of the wing, needed a new cowling and the wing was in two pieces. Glued the wing, bought a new cowling, took it out today. Flew it quite well, with myself as the pilot rather than my father last time. Took it through some simple stuff, and after about 2 minutes, the glue job failed on the wings. Next time: Remember the wing struts. Fuselage is in pieces, propeller snapped.
Wrap your front cowl in packing tape, the clear kind with string re-enforcements. Put it inside too. This creates a strong frame for the front cowl and will stop it from breaking and creates more bounce for the plane :-)
dude today my super cub i was flyin and it was a windy day then all the sudden a big gust of wind flips my plane upside down i barly had control of it and it went straghit down and it got it to turn over really fast and got it back up normal from like 3 ft from the ground it was soo close lol idk if u can tell what i mean but ya lol
it works better during when the sun is higher up. it takes the contrast of the sky and the ground and compares them to decide what input on the plane to manipulate. thats why it says in the instructions to not use the ACT over snow covered areas.
haha, that invirted crash was only funny because I did the exact same thing with my airple. You can fly upside down just fine, you just need to do it pretty high so there is enough room to get out of it.
nice stick work ad! did ya ever reveal the locale for the 8 cell elite?we're dyin to get our mitts on it. x- the song is send me an angel by eurythmics
I did a flip in mine the other day and instantly broke the struts! It made an audible noise when that happened, and I was realieved when I found out it wasn't the wing cracking in half. Cool music too ...I forgot who did that, can you tell me?
You call that good? Umm... If he was good he wouldn't have crashed into the ground.
I have this plane and flying inverted isn't that hard. If you notice right before it crashed he suddenly gave it up-elevator. He probably got disoriented / forgot he was flying inverted / something like that. That is what novices do.
Mine crashed into a tree then, nose first into the ground. What do you exoect when you leave ACT on. Went through 2 props, 2 servo arms, one nose, one wing strut. I bought new parts. Nice flying! Your really good!
The Super Cub can take a massive beating. Mine has been beat do the ground too many times and still flies sweet, especially with my mods:
