He was 2 seconds off of the National & World Record for sophmores in high school. The record was set by Alan Webb (surprise, surprise....not), he ran a 4:06!!!
u know what suks tho he can get cought up and like if your that young runniing that fast and your times arent goin down and your times are staying the same well that suks becuz when u get older your its goin to be realy hard to get em down like

but by any chance has n.e one evr heard of Ray Noble? he is right behind elias time wise and they're the same age..California Relays last week Elias beat Ray by mili-seconds :o
@hnimisawesome Yeah but thats because they are african, not african american, there is a large difference. Africans have a very short upper body and long legs which makes them fast runners. African americans have white genes in them and have lost many original traits of their relatives.
Technically african-americans are from Africa, somewhere in their ancestry.
Nevertheless, Elias was born in Ethiopia.
No need to be offended now, I only state facts. In Ethiopia, long distance running is extremely popular. I'm not insulting anyone. His dad probably got him into it or something.

I've raced elias during the 2010 xc season stayed with him 4 a mile and lost at CIF as a freshman haha but he's a senior
