  • @MrMixAFlix give me a break. It's ton harder to jump when you don't have much height. truth: spudd webb, nate robinson and a guy named brandon tod, had grown up monsterous strength ratios. If you're tall, i don't care.you jump out the gym without getting muscle. look at james white. kid is stupid in hops yet he doesn't have frame, hard work or ability to make something off that height.

  • Jumping high comes natural to people with the proper LEVERAGE via crural index (ratios in their skeleton), it's got little to do with "squats and plyometrics" and the other bs people promote that needs "worked" You guys actually think Jordan spent all his time increasing his vert? Hell no he spent time learning the fundamentals of the game he just HAPPENS to be a GENETICALLY natural jumper. Jumping is genetics people, not hard work, work hard on the game not your vert or your wasting your time!

  • Stretching isn't for pussies, but it is for idiots... look at all the research that has been done. I never stretched, and never had any injuries. I never play ball anymore, but still reach the rim without too much effort. I'm 5'9'' btw

  • @MATT111MARTIN Actually, it is a bit about skin colour. It's purely genetical problem. Have you realise that in most cases, black people have wider nostrills than other "races"? That makes them to take more air in the lungs at once with less effort. And now, there is something we call "transverse muscles". Black people have a bit different built of transverse muscles in their legs and arms. Simply said, if you are black, you have it a bit easier to built them up than if you were white.

  • Make sure you warm up before you stretch!!!! Never stretch a cold muscle, it can lead to injury. Just a couple minutes of light exercise prior to stretching.

    I have 8'0 reach and I can grab the rim easily. Now do the math.

    4 some other approaches to speed and coordination (isometrics/plyo)

    5. all these LONG TERM over the years.

    6. snap out of the illusion that gravity is holding you from mere 50"s.
