This is always ALWAYS be my favorite Yugioh Series and as well the best ending. Like Yugi said, it wasnt a story about the great pharaoh but of everyone in the story. Just kinda sad you don't get to see Yugi Story actually begin. (As he says it at the end) Still I love it. My <3 to Yugi.

Its pretty clear that the "official couple" is really Yugi-Atem...I KID! :D actually, given that Yugi Mutou is the REINCARNATION of Atem, they technically are one and the same...and so the WEIRDEST love triangle ever is born between two people :D

@mymagicmtg Anzu may have feelings but both, but the way Yugi is going (Atemu being gone) I doubt he will do anything with her. (Not being yaoi fan girl or anything) Just can't image Yugi settling for a girl even after the series ended. If we go by anime, supposely 10 years after Original, when Judai meets Yugi in the beginning, you can see he has no ring in his finger. And he is what? almost 27 years old?

I never watched the US version, so my attachment to the characters was very strong throughout the series... that being said, I almost wept like a fucking baby at this ending, yet at the same time, it was completely endearing as kymykaly mentions below that life goes on and to cherish your experiences, which exemplifies how life's not about the destination, but the journey along the way.
