There are so many comic book superheroes/supervillians who are just better on cartoon and not on live action. (Gambit, Hobgoblin, Fantastic four and especially Dr. Doom).

@Matriculon The only conclusion i can draw from the research iv done is that production ceased as the rights for the show were bouncing back and forth between Sony Entertainment and Marvel, until Marvel eventually decided to drop it and focus on starting a series that theyv been wanting to do for a while: Ultimate Spider-Man.

@LordManda2 yeah I heard about the new upcoming Ultimate Spider-Man animated series. I mean I liked the comics but Spectacular Spider-Man was so awesome! I don't really think Ultimate Spidey is gonna be as amazing as Spectacular Spider-Man. I hope they atleast take a few from the voice actors from Spectacular Spidey and use them in the new series, like for example Josh Keaton. They're all doing such a great job!

@Matriculon I think there's going to be problem with Ultimate Spiderman. It is suppose to be based on the comic. I think there will be 4 reasons why its going to suck.

1. Because its Disney, they will do a kid friendly and more cartoonish, like Raimi version.

2. Ultimate is more realistic and violent in many issues. I dont think Disney will follow that.

3. Make Ultimate like Batman BatB, its enough to suck.

4. I dont think theyll make Green Goblin like Ultimate Goblin.

I don't think people complain about the film trilogy itself. It's just mainly Spiderman 3 that was a disappointment. It tried to do too much in just in one movie, and frankly, it was a complete fiasco. The movie had far too many villains to focus on. Also, the love triangle thing with Peter and Mary Jane was really annoying, imo anyway. While the action was certainly good, the plot suffered considerably. On the other hand, the first two films were incredible.

The Sandman fight looks cool, but really, i can't help but feel that all the fighting Spider-Man does isn't affecting Sandman at all, so really, it removes all the tension from the fight.

Clay-Face was a big time villain who had almost no weakness and could reform from the smallest amount of his body he had left, if his body ever got destroyed.

Sand-man is a Small time Villain who takes orders from others and has a soft side, plus he has to take in sand to regrow his body if it was destroyed, so if he was left as just a little sand in a place with no sand he would have no way of reforming unlike Clay-Face who can do it on his own.

wow what a great episode. Sandman's character development is beyond impressive. Writers did a great job. And great way to introduce Brock back into the mix. Just would have loved for Peter's paranoia to carry out a little longer and maybe even begin to take over his life until "they" showed up again.
