The window sign says it all - Barack Hussein Obama will solve all your problems. Just keeps voting him in and some of those trillions he is spending will make it your way. I hope your share is worth something by the time you get it.
Great video! After looking for a job for almost a year I am running out of energy. This video has inspired me to continue the journey and find out what I am made of. Thank you for helping me understand that like me there are many others in the same situation and that we need to be creative to come ahead. Keep up the good work and if you need volunteers in Los Angeles for your project please let me know. THANK YOU! ¡GRACIAS!
Thanks all for the inspiration I got from your video. That's me too. Unemployed since 2006, doing occasional job, freelancing here and there. A lot of credit card debt, but still I keep the optimism that everything will get better. I'm keeping smiling to the high power of the universe, since I'm a daughter of the Creator and Owner of everything in the Universe and he is encharged of every event in my life. Love and Peace to all!
Absolutely magnificent. I would love to have you continue to connect with many, many others who have compelling, inspirational stories to tell. It's not corporate executives who need to be interviewed these days, it's mainstream America. In hearing how others are surviving and thriving in today's turmoils, a myriad of people's lives can be positively influenced.
Thanks so much for making this film...I really need to hear some uplifting and different stories about how people are coping with unemployment and these difficult economic times. Best wishes with your film and Reinvention pursuits.
Thank you for your video. I'm in the same situation now. I've been doing small jobs to make ends meet but they never meet (like Christian). My daughter is planning to travel and go backpacking through Europe etc. with friends too. This will be inspirational for my whole family.. again thank you!
Great video and idea. Congratulations for the initiative and the drive to deliver your project. It is amazing how this financial turn has contributed to a paradigm shift of so many Americans.
Dear Catherine, thank you for making this film. It was extremely inspiring to me being I am also part of those who were impacted by the economy. I worked for one of the three largest mutual fund companies in the world for 19 years, this company was a huge part of me and when I was laid off, it felt like part of me died. After seeing this short film I see there is hope. I wish you good luck, and I hope that you are able to make the rest of the film. Thank you once again.
I sympathize with those who have been forced to dramatically change their life due to this economy. I can only hope you realize and remember why we are here. Politicians have put their own interests above that of their people. We elect these men and women to defend our rights, not take our livelihoods and give them to others in exchange for political gain.
Very well done! I read about this on Yahoo, it said that the woman who made this is trying to go for a feature-length version. Hope she can do it - these stories need to be told!
Good to see someone showing the indomitable human spirit is still alive and well. Having experienced this downturn first hand, it not always easy to keep you spirits up, but you can get through with hope and determination.
Very well done! There are many people who have far worse circumstances than me, but I can identify with the themes yoi address. I am inspired and motivated by the concept of "reinvention". Thank you for making this film.
The lady (Christian Mathews) got me really emotional when she said she cries a lot at night. I just bow to all these people who have been dealing with this economic hit so bravely. Frankly I am in a much better place than all these people but I don't know what I would do if I were in their shoes. All I want to do is pray that things get better.
Living it myself - not always easy. I am frugal and happy. Homemade soup is both time consuming, much more nutritious and delicious and stretching food dollars, just don't leave out the bay leaves.
i like the stories and how the people shifted their lives for the better. i wish that you would mention that many people don't have financial security in the first place, for them this is much harder.
Anton, Congrats to you both. This is a very good piece, and Iove the perspective . It is inspirational yet keeps it real. Bad things happen to good people, but it is how you react that makes all the difference in the world.
Very inspirational and realistic. Although the subjects had a very upbeat attitude, they didn't make it seem like it was all going to be easy. The journey is as important as the destination.
Everything about this documentary is inspiring. I truly admire the story of the two couples who decides to backpack across the globe after being dealt with financial constraint. Shout outs to all the geniuses behind this production, look forward to upcoming work of you guys.
Very well done. Documentaries such as this one seems to beg the question, do the subjects and their experiences make the documentary or is it the way the documentary is done that makes the subjects so compelling? Also loved the music, but one negative for me is the herky-jerky way the interviews are presented as opposed to just a nice fluid picture. The herky jerky style seems to be very popular in documentaries these days. Again very well done and I look forward to more projects from you folks.

Thanks for making the film...Inspiring.
Film tip: back ground sound is too loud over some interviews.
Also, the box in the back ground with the logo right at the eye line is VERY distracting—consider reshooting this interview.
