@deerpark - I live in Detroit. I work in Detroit. I volunteer in Detroit. I perform in Detroit. I dine in Detroit. I ride my bike in Detroit. I drink in Detroit. I love the city and say nice things about Detroit, but I also speak the truth. Many neighborhoods have a serious crime problem. It's irresponsible to suggest crime doesn't exist in Woodbridge. And yes there is crime everywhere, but this is a video and a discussion about Woodbridge - not Washington Twp.

Have had two friends mugged and assaulted in Woodbridge. Have known several people who have had their cars stolen and houses broken into. I'm sorry, but this is not a purely safe area. I'm not sure there is one in Detroit. I wish that wasn't the case.

@yougotsaprettymouth Though I agree that Detroit has a lot of issues. There are crime everywhere. Heck, there's a husband who beheaded his wife out in the suburbs. The way I see, it it's a vicious circle. Bad news -> ppl leave -> business leave -> city suffers -> no one visits/business stays away -> ppl get desperate -> more bad news.... and it goes on and on and on. The bad news has to stop. Be a leader instead a follower. Do something to make it a better place!!!

Woodbridge aint that bad,its like any other big city neighborhood. U could live in nice parts of N.Y.C and deal with the same things you would in woodbridge.Its city life not everyone can take it,nor do i blame everyone who doesnt like it.The detroit police and wayne state police patrol that area and the live in the area some of them.also the interim mayor lived there,its really not that dangerous.

Don't let this fool you. There is a LOT of crime in the area. You can't walk anywhere unless you want to dodge homeless people begging for change. Try parking on the street, you WILL be broken into Its not the cute and charming utopia they are painting it as.
