The documentary was ok, but brought up nothing new about the Shankill butchers that isn't said in Martin Dillions book. I think he was unfair to Jimmy Nesbitt - that man worked 3 times more than the average person per week to try and solve the case and so did the men he lead. I wonder if Moore hadn't of broke and kept silent if they could have linked them to the other killings. Murphy was a sadistic animal but i'd love to see more pictures/know more about him.

The police had no idea that this gang were responsible for any other than the butcher killings. It is a great testement to the judiciary of NI at the time that even if they were aware of an atrocious murderer they never moved outside of the law. Some might say more's the pity.
