I get so annoyed watching Timi Yuro. I get annoyed by the fact that I never saw her perform live, I get annoyed that she never got the recognition she deserved, I get annoyed that anyone could think there was a better female singer during the past 50 years, but most of all I get annoyed because every time I hear her sing and watch her videos I need to reach for something to wipe the tears from my eyes! She is simply sunlime!

OMG, I just found this and was absolutely floored. I've always considered Timi one of the top two of the era (along with Etta James) and have most of her studio recordings. However, I'm not sure that I ever saw her perform live and this is an awesome experience. I was filled with emotion watching. Thanks so much.

@doowopsjoy Sad to tell you she was diagnosed with throat cancer in 1980.After being operating on it seemed to be clear. It reappeared though in 1984. She underwent more surgery. She was able to record one more album in 1989, with Willie Nelson who was a close friend of hers but it was to be her last. After some more operations she passed away on 30 march 2004 at age 63. She had a golden voice, RIP
