Yeah experts say that a singer's peak is at 35+ or something but I guess it only is in terms of range..still very nice...but her tone and range together is what makes her early work so PROLIFIC live and in studio

1991-1992 was probably the best tone quality or 1995. Take a live pre-Vegas performance 2001-2002 and compare it with a 2007 live performance and one will realize the voice QUALITY has diminished...not a WHOLE LOT diminished like some of her contemporaries but her voice has definitely changed. Its obvious once you hear her sing her old stuff again. But...I didn't realize she was still so range-y today, lol.
Celine has always possessed the best voice of the 3 divas it is just she has never quite had the image that the other had. But now she is the only one left!
Celine never cared much or focused on her hollywood image but Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston did and do. She just wanted to please people, and she did and does and I think people see that that is who Celine is. It is not gone. Everybidy working on her new album and those who have heard her sy that she sounds terrific. Also, in May, she was performing in London for a charity event and got rave reviews.
well the reviews i heard were stating in the studio she was struggling...and i guarantee the auto tuner will have been used....everyone will give her rave reviews as would i,because they are glad to see her alive,drug free,healthy and back on the stage.I myself would give the woman a standing ovation....but her voice is destroyed....no escaping that and thats sad...thats not a dig just fact..crack and singing dont mix

Her nose is fine. If it was ruined, then she wouldn't be able to breathe. She had one of those "lung-cleaning" and "body-purifying things" to get out all the crap. Drugs don't cause irrepearable damage. Natalie Cole did drugs and she can STILL sing, so did Elton John.

Take a live pre-Vegas performance 2001-2002 and compare it with a 2007 live performance and one will realize the voice QUALITY has diminished...not a WHOLE LOT diminished like some of her contemporaries but her voice has definitely changed. Its obvious once you hear her sing her old stuff again. But...I didn't realize she was still so range-y today, lol.

Celine never cared much or focused on her hollywood image but Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston did and do. She just wanted to please people, and she did and does and I think people see that that is who Celine is. Funny thing is, Celine doesen't care what her numbers are on the charts, doesen't care how much she sells or if she sells out or how many awards she has, but she's sold more concert tickets/had soldout shows, sold many more albums, and has more money and more awards then either one! xD

Meh, I'm not going to go read back and see what post you replied too, but in 2007, or early 2008 she was above them on the richest woman in entertainment, not to mention she released a music collection, more fragerances, and did her Taking Chances tour, which have all garnered her big bucks. How does one know his or her salary...does he or she just add up the amounts on their paycheck at the end of the year ? Plus there are these things called taxes.. ok can people stop with this. Whitney was one of the best singers of the 80s and 90s like Celine she has nothing to prove of her talent. But the fact does remain that her album has been delayed over and over, and she has not been seen singing as she once did, Celine has been great on her tour, Her new album is great too, i think Celines voice has really not declined as much as whitney because she has taken better care of it. Right now of Celine Mariah and Whitney Celine is the better singer.

The one and only fact: Nowadays, Celine is one of the only singers who can actually hit such high notes live. I mean, LIVE! Whitney is the best, imao, thou her range's never gone that far... Mariah, I love her, thou even on her best periods (1990-1991), she never dared to try hitting those notes... and this is not bcuz she couldn't do it; it's just that Celine is a prowess!!One of the only whose singing ability never fades with the passage of time!

It is not gone. Everybidy working on her new album and those who have heard her sy that she sounds terrific. Also, in May, she was performing in London for a charity event and got rave reviews.

well the reviews i heard were stating in the studio she was struggling...and i guarantee the auto tuner will have been used....everyone will give her rave reviews as would i,because they are glad to see her alive,drug free,healthy and back on the stage.I myself would give the woman a standing ovation....but her voice is destroyed....no escaping that and thats sad...thats not a dig just fact..crack and singing dont mix

No, she was struggling at the bginning of last year because the drugs messed up ehr voice. So Clive got her a vocal coach and her voice is back.

its got nothin2do with a vocal coach.1stly,ur nose is the most important thing when singing.The little pockets that run in sinus's around the skull,give the voice resonance,etc.Her nose is destroyed thru snortin,Its even changed her speakin voice-sounds like got a cold..2nd,the smokin of crack will have destroyed her lungs,so her intake of breath will be less,there4 less power and finally if smoking cigerettes,alcohol,air con and dairy products harm v.chords,then drugs cause UNREPAIRABLE DAMAGE

Her nose is fine. If it was ruined, then she wouldn't be able to breathe. She had one of those "lung-cleaning" and "body-purifying things" to get out all the crap. Drugs don't cause irrepearable damage. Natalie Cole did drugs and she can STILL sing, so did Elton John.

sorry lucasode..im not sure who your talking bout,whitney or Celine???If it was whitney,just enter whitney 2008 into here and it'll show some performances of this year.She has her tone,which will never leave as its amazing,but no power and no range.Its painful to listen to too be honest.Her new stuff may be lower in range and less power ballad cos she aint got it anymore,and thats sad cos she was superb and i loved her,but the drugs have destroyed her.Just be glad she is alive and clean

Celine Dion does not have 6 octaves, she has a little over 3. Mariah has just over 5. She can go from Bb2-C6. Don't get me wrong though. I think she's AMAZING!
