The religion was overwrought in the 7th Century as the Arabs attacked Persia, and eventually defeated the Sassanian Army. When the last ruler in the Sassanian Era, Yazdegard III, was murdered in 651, the 400 year reign of Sassanians and the height of Zoroastrianism came to an end. The Arabs eventually left (thus why Iranians are still Persians and not Arab), but their Islamic legacy continues.

There's no possible way to tell the age of inscriptions,idols,etc of any artifact. Archaeologist findings and conclusions are merely an OPINION. There's no doubt that Sumerian's and Mesopotamia's may be ancient civilizations but if there were really why didn't their culture progress on?? The religion was overwrought in the 7th Century as the Arabs attacked Persia, and eventually defeated the Sassanian Army. When the last ruler in the Sassanian Era, Yazdegard III, was murdered in 651, the 400 year reign of Sassanians and the height of Zoroastrianism came to an end. The Arabs eventually left (thus why Iranians are still Persians and not Arab), but their Islamic legacy continues.

Zoroastrian fire temples were built during the early Achaemenian period. There are many in Iran several thousand years old, including at Ray, Isfahan, and even at Persepolis the symbols are there. The word "Mede" does not mean "Kurd" -- modern day Kurds were a result of the ethnogenesis of several iranian tribes (that included some Medes), but studies have shown that Iraqi-Kurds and Turkish-Kurds have mixed background. Takht-e Soleyman was later built by Sasanian-Persians.

@IranHistory Takht-e Soleyman, the oldest zoroastrian fire temple, it is situated north east of Tikab, i've been there my self 7 times, It is in the kordestan region, it was built by the Medes in the later periods, just before the fall of astyages, it was later expanded by the sassanid, Achaemenid ,parthian, it was later rebuilt by the mongols.

There's no possible way to tell the age of inscriptions,idols,etc of any artifact. Archaeologist findings and conclusions are merely an OPINION. There's no doubt that Sumerian's and Mesopotamia's may be ancient civilizations but if there were really why didn't their culture progress on?? Hinduism and Sanskrit both are equally or much older and it has survived till today and none can debate on it. Both are equally strong.

I think you need to deal with the fact that Zoroaster was a Hindu priest and that Zoroastrianism is an off shoot of Hinduism. The rituals and everything is almost the same, ask any Zoroastrian scholar and you'll have the true answer.
