Lucky for the USA we use an electoral system, "most Americans" consists of the population dense left and right coasts.Those of us in Denver don't want our policies decided by Boston,San Fran,L.A.,or NY. We are a Republic!

Yes, the United States is a republic which is functionally democratic. Whether you like it or not, our country does indeed work by majority rule.

States decide how they fit into the Republic, not national majority, remember Florida. Things like gay marriage,legalized marijuana, death penalties are put to state votes if not decided on by courts...not national majorities.Thx

You're welcome. The point is that we do work by majority rule, whether you're looking at it on a national or local level. Some argue that we're not a democracy because we're a republic. While you did not state that misconception outright I felt the need to clarify for others, just as you felt the need to clarify that we are a republic despite the lack of any statement in my video to the contrary.
