  • This song is better than Justin Bieber...

  • He added an extra "s" to the composer name in order to avoid copyright infringement, because he had copied the entire audio.

  • the book was better

  • This song are used in Tibia :)

  • This needs a HD version

  • I like the dubstep remix better.

  • better than justin bieber.

  • This is actually rather in-genius (:

  • This song is so hipster, that no one hears it before anyone.

Which means it isn't funny and is quite bisexual.

  • Lyrics sucked.

  • GENIUS

  • i think cage needs to work on more tone quality

  • This actually is a horrible performance. No environmental sounds at all.

  • hahahaha! I hope this guy didn't take himself seriously as others do. Better to be a troll than a talentless wanker who substitutes substance with "esoteric" nonsense.

  • Not much variety, the chorus is exactly the same as the verses

  • this is so beautiful

  • there's no 4:33

  • It's too loud :-(

  • cara, vc é muito ridículo mesmo, se eu fosse em um show ver isso, eu pedia meu dinheiro de volta...música é melodia, ritmo e harmonia, e não silêncio

    ò.ó

  • John Cage = Troll

  • Why this video has 4:34 :D

  • Love the bugle @ 1:43

  • So...when the drop?

  • @Zay0n "Music is everywhere. If Mankind had the ears to listen, there would be no need for concert halls." --John Cage (from the Introduction to "Variations IV".

  • My understanding of "music" has just been crushed. Thanks John Cage ¬_¬

  • superb

  • TUUUUUUUNNNNNNEEEEE!!!!

  • In case you all didn't know, this song is LEGIT. This song, lasting 4 minutes and 33 seconds, is composed of 3 movements, all of which are silent.

  • im listening to this sing when people think my stereo is off

  • I'm absolutely sure that Cage was the best genius of experimental music! He's totally modernist, and he was incomprehendable by people from his time! Old people don't know what to do with a future artist! Cage is really 21st century musician, but no one knew it on his time! That's why everyone who play experimental music own everything to Cage's legacy - watch what Pato Fu has done to see if you don't find the inspiration in the "enfant térrible"!

  • Da Da movement makes it to music

  • 2:32 - 2:58 best moment

  • OMG

    Fantastic ! I love it !

I want to watch live version !

  • the best song ! \m/

  • @Zay0n C'est une attitude que j'apprécie. Je suis sûr que tu apprécieras son travail.

  • @Glutenovsky

    @Zay0n

will you two just pick a language and STICK WITH IT?

  • maybe this performing is too robotic))

  • @Zay0n Girl.

  • @Zay0n Listen to what you want. I LOVE Mozart and Chopin is for me the best pianist ever, but I can like something more experimental without whining "This is not musiiiic...!". The goal of ALL arts is to create something special, something new, something original and to do it, you must create experimentations like THIS.

  • Waste of time.

  • Lyrics:

  • OMG the best song ever, I can listen it for hours long..

  • You all are just too young... Don't worry, Mum Radio will give you your Lady Gaga and Black Eyed Shit... Don't comment a genius production.

  • @Glutenovsky I really don't get the point of the piece. Can you please explain it to me? And please, don't assume that people (like me) are completely ignorant to this particular piece listen to Lady Gaga or Black Eyed Peas. I listen to the compositions of Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Liszt, Johannes Brahms and many others. Don't be a jackass.

  • @YetHaterLover My comment is old as fuck. I was pissed off because of the comments like "its shite i dunt understnd its stoopid omgroflkjsebnz".

You can find some good explanations of this piece on Google, it will be better than anything I would say, my english is not really good.

And bravo for Rachmaninoff, I love his works.

  • um, I'm a bit confused. This didn't make any sound. There's no... music. At all. My friend told me to listen to this, but none of the ones I've clicked have had the music. Could you explain it to me?

  • @Mokuba5lover pretty much a statement made by john cage about the beauty of silence. it is supposed to make you listen to the sounds around you. other than that, it's probably a joke.

  • this is stupid, and you obviously don't understand the concept for 4'33''.

it isn't about complete silence. it's about noticing the sounds around you as a musical composition that will be different every time it is performed. when you perform the piece you are supposed to open all windows and doors to the concert hall/room to allows other sounds to escape in. this piece challenges, "what is music?"

this is not a performance of 4'33'', this is 4'33'' of silence.

  • This is the worst performance of this work I've heard, not to mention that you have an extra "s" in "Cage's" on your screen. You could at least have the proper spelling! One star from me!

  • dude what is this?

  • It is a song that John Cage composed for 4 min. 33 sec. He named it "4'33" because of how long he composed it.

  • @wwerulez2390 wow, i would nead 1 sec to compose it

    thats NO MUSIC!!!!!!!!!

thats SILENCE and SILENCE is NO MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MegaDani141

It's redefining music. If may have taken you a second to compose it, but the point is that you didn't. You didn't think to challenge music in such a way. Just as people scoff at modern art and say that "my kid could paint this" the fact isn't the art itself but the meaning behind it. They were painting modern art at a time where it was scandalous and daring. If you drizzled some paint on a canvas now no one would think anything of it, but when Pollack did it, it was revolutionary.

  • @33anda3rdRPM Yes, maby you are right..........

  • @33anda3rdRPM Also a thing the composer could meaned, that the people could imaging selve some notes, and compose something selve..............

  • boring
