mascara lasts about 3 to 4 months and the companies put a smell in it. when the smell starts to go away or become not as pleasent, thats a sign for you to replace it.

@poohheartspiglet They opt for the "natural" look... meaning you can wear foundations, blush, etc but only to accentuate your features. They don't allow eye liner, or lip stick... and they prefer no eyeshadow; however, you can use nude skin toned colors if you put it on.

Yes, aveda does the same thing with their mascara. When the rose smell is gone it's time to get a new one. Plus rose oil is conditioning.

Is your full and soft waterproof or not? I find that waterproof mascaras weight down my eyelashes in fact. Did it hold curl, anyone?

Waterproof mascaras hold better curl than regular mascaras because regular mascaras are water-based which weighs down your curl after you coat your lashes, so try getting waterproof mascaras and compare the difference. You won't regret it.

@surfermania95 Unfortunately its hard to avoid animal tested makeup products AND be able to stay in a reasonable affordable price range, some can't afford the higher end products like MAC (which don't test on animals) don't get me wrong I'm against animal testing to the max, however like I said its getting harder and harder to avoid products that don't.
