@leysmyshoe - try playing without a pick. Personally, I find that I can slap the strings a lot easier and more freely than when I tried to play with a pick. I strum the strings with the outer side of my thumb, though this can hurt after a while.

So my sister wants me to cover this song, I got the capo and everything but one problem. I dont have any acoustics, just two electric, both with high output metal oriented pickups, the strumming patterns and everything easy but getting a clean tone a bit of a problem, especially on my amp

@MaidenFan24568 If you've got a microphone, play the song without plugging in the guitar, with the mic in front of it. Then plug the microphone into your amp, and turn off as much distortion as possible. I don't know what your amp is like, not really into electric stuff, but I think that should help. ;-)

Is your guitar dropped then? Because you are saying the chords as if you are in Standard tuning? And you have the Capo on it.

@joshuah8039 Tuning is the same...just pretend the notes are the exact same...basically the capo becomes the nut or open string, however you want to think of it. For example, E string 4th fret is considered the E string 2nd fret...it's still F#. Just a whole step up.
