@Xxnightwolf66xX the lance is the "Tank" weapon In my opinion. your main focus is blocking but to fully utilize the Lance you must master the backhop.

but I may not be the most sage advice I'm an SnS Expert not a Lance.

@Mangamen100 If you master the counter attack of the lance, the lance is the better weapon in terms of damage and not getting hit. But in a team it is always nice to have a hammer user in, because of the KO ability.

@SamuelHeaton - If yo have access to the online play; create Agnaktor+ if you are a lance wielder, It is Suspiciously good for Lance with the Guard +2 skill and Razor Sharp and has 7 slots for decorations. If you use SnS, Switch Axe or LS use Barioth+ for evasion good defence and Evasion +2 and evasion up it makes you VERY slippery. As for weapons Try and go for Ice and if you can aim for the head. Use sonic bombs, used at the right time they are the equivalent of Pitfall traps, Good luck

my advice to anyone who is having trouble with diablos use a hammer when i fought it on mh3 i used a 2nd upgrade of the lurdroth water hammer all i did was trap flash bomb just try hit his head as much as you can

@TravistheGREAT03 A armor i recomand for Diablos is thr Full Rathalos with gunner cap(more attack points) gammed to Attack up L and Critical Eye +2 and then take the Tusk Lance+ (Barioth Lance) then you gopt over over 55% affinity plus a great attack boost ^^ Diablos is weak to 3 elements Ice (most weak to) Then comes Thunder and then comes Water, so if you have a hard time farming barioth for the Tusk Lance parts you can use Spiral Lance+ ^^

i think you're....diablos has no freakin element, so it doesn't matter which armor you use, and lagiarmor, every part in highest level, has a good defense thu

and teh only element that really makes a different against diablos is ice, and if he prefers to fight lance (i even don't know if there's a ice-lance) so let him....

I use a lance for Jho and Jho only. A mix of Barioth and Agna with jewels, gives me Guard +2 and Evasion +2. Thats all. And I use Alatereon Gleam. I'm HR501

Diablos is the Rock Lee of Monster Hunter. I'm sorry for the Naruto reference... but guys knows ist true. I has like not long range attacks... but its fast as f*ck and has some type of close range attack for like everything you do. And when it get pissed... the only options is to run and hope you can block in case there is an opening.

THis monster is my ultimate rival in this game. I could kill Rathalos and Rathian. I can kill Rayals and even Gobuls (on a good day) But DIablos... oh boy...

not that he is useing the lance wrong its just that the more used way is keeping the lance out and just useing the shield. when it gos under ground and charged hes geting hit by that move all the time and its kind of dumb when u can block it.

Basically if u reach lvl 40 online and take on a diablos offline he is saprisingly easy. I was a little dissappionted with this battle, since it does take longer to kill diablos online.

@RACCOONraul if he use cha cha he would not be able to stay under so long because Diablo would move trying to get cha cha and making you chase them and if you use a switch axe or great sword or spear... it can be pretty annoying to have to withdraw and put away your weapon just to move around.
