@videotrexx Well i agree that Parlor mob has good lyrics (especially in Tide of Tears) but Wolfmother also has very good lyrics.

Just because they are easily understandable from first glance doesnt make them "nonsensical baloney". Their use of metaphors are amazing!

Just because you like one, doesnt mean you have to hate the other. Too many people compare and contrast similar bands and end up hating one just to love the other.

People seem too ready to compare these guys to other artists. Personally, I can hear influences, even from bands like the stones, but certainly wouldn't bundle them in to any genre of music; it's an offence to these guys.

actually, they often change the attitude of the songs to fit the more mainstream music.

this is one of the reasons that when you turn on a mainstream radio, you are lickely to find a song about how much money the artist have, sex, drugs/booze, or on of those cliche love songs. if for instance ketty perry would want to record a more serious song, changes are her record company won't let her.
