This looks great, and a lot easier to scale than LAMP. But i'd like to know if google will be able to claim rights to peoples code if they develop it on this infrastructure. Also, how about a google adds api which could be used to subsidise or in some cases completely cover and exceed the cost of additional capacity?
At launch, yes... but it's all open source. Already, several other providers have configured alternative places for you to host your Google Apps code (instead of on Google's servers.) In time, I expect to see this grow. Ultimately, it will be down to either picking Google's servers or some other servers. As long as Google keeps their prices low, and provides an initial freebie amount, there will be little reason to take your hosting elsewhere.
That is a footage from the Google Map its cool!.

According to the terms of service, you own all copyrights to your own code. You give Google the right to essentially host it.

But it still make it difficult to port your app to another platform.
