Am surprised by the really low imdb ratting and would give Beverly Hills Chihuahua a 7 and I liked this one more than Hotel For Dogs to which gets a 5.5 or a 5.

I'm getting kind of tired of all these CGI talking animal movies. Apart from making them dance and move their mouths what's the point? Just make another Homeward Bound or Benji or something using trained animals. I think that Marmaduke movie was pushing it enough. That Cats and Dogs sequel..... just why?! I mean I'm glad to see studios lately have been putting some long overdue sequels out like Predator or The Dark Crystal instead of remakes but Cats and Dogs is not a a necessary one.

Well that's all fine every now and then, but when I was a kid they didn't make kids films liek this. They kind of took you more seriously. Granted I'm older but I still think that the old Disney films and many cartoons or movies from the 90's were great and had a genuine amount of effort and heart put in. I prefer seeing real things on screen too. Anyone today can make a CGI animal talk. It takes talent and dicipline for both to maker something like Homeward Bound though.
