@Eatmybologna The reason Apple's computers are "insanely overpriced" is because they LAST. My wife's 2007 HP laptop just died (fried harddrive) after a long, arduous downward spiral. Meanwhile, her 2006 MacBook G4 runs like new, to this day.

They are basically selling you a lot of the same stuff for twice the cost.

@Eatmybologna Do you know how much hardware (other than the processor) is shared between Apples and PCs, and which specific components those are? If you don't, then you're just speculating. Additionally, please keep in mind that hardware is only half the equation. The OS and system architecture is the primary reason why many prefer a Mac. They're more stable, virus-free, and exhibit much better long-term performance than PCs.

@JazzzRockFuzion You are wrong. Don't argue for the sake of it. Yes I'm aware, I have a computer science degree thank you. Just because the hardware in a mac has a different name doesn't mean the core components aren't the same (which for the most part they are). No a mac is not virus free. 90% of the world uses windows so the vast majority of viruses are aimed at windows. This is now changing due to the popularity of apple. Macs are slightly more protected because it is based on unix.

@JazzzRockFuzion All of the statistics that apple have used in the past regarding their so called "stable" , "virus free" products are merely half truths. Many of the statistics are taken out of context and are not scaled. In comparison to other brands and windows macs are an incredibly small % of the market and they use that to rumour statistics that are false, saying things like "last year xxxx amount of pcs were returned while x macs were returned".

@JazzzRockFuzion I have used macs, for work and for pleasure. I use both windows and linux for my daily work and leisure. I use linux for my programming work and windows if I need an application of a game not supported on linux.

I have not had a virus in over 16 years (thats the truth) and the hardware problems I have had were easily fixed because I build my own pcs (which is incredibly simple, anyone can do it). Whichever way you look at it macs are incredibly overpriced.

This is the fourth episode in this Steve Jobs documentary, and I've noticed something interesting. The view count is holding strong. Normally when a film like this is broken down into several parts for display on YouTube, the view count starts halving for each subsequent video. The viewers zone out at a predictable rate.

What does this mean? Well I'm guessing it means either Steve Jobs mesmerizes people, or, geeks are more inclined to finish what they started than everyone else.
