But It's sunny here a lot and the roads are phenomenal. People seem a little fake sometimes, but they make up for it because there are plenty of hot chicks here. Oh, and last but not least, Guns, I love guns and own a couple. They are very, very flexible with their gun laws.
I agree with the NHS. I am a Brit living in America, and have for the past 7 years. Over here you have to pay for your own healthcare and it is very expensive. A broken leg can cost up to 50,000 dollars, and insurance does not cover it all, and does not cover everything. Higgh school is free over here, but the education sucks. If I have kids I'm sending them to private school.
@extreme601 I genuinely thought you couldn't beat the sound of a 2 stroke, but that bike has proven me wrong. I think the pipes on the dashboard really makes it great.
Hey, this is a great video. Congrats! Just one comment: The neighbourhoods you pass by look pretty quiet and safe. Is that a particular trait likely to be found in most of Britain? Once again, great job. Keep it up ;)
O.O i loved everything about this place, everything looked perfect. The only thing that was bugging me were the streets/roads. I didnt understand them at all
Also, if you're after a stop-gap bike until your next main purchase I'd go for an Er500 or a CB500 over the CBF600 as that really is aimed at new riders or people who like to get bored quickly lol. For more serious fun bikes, you might want to look at a 600 Hornet or maybe a Suzuki SV650. I haven't ridden an SV yet but most people rate them as quite character full.
@elkfazer1 Thanks for the advice, I'm definitely after something that'll make long distance riding easier, bigger, heavier, more comfortable etc. I have no problem with boring as I never use my bike for aggressive riding anyway :P
It'll definitely need a windscreen, and hopefully not too leaned over. I've considered the SV650 and may change my mind yet, but my Brother used to have one so I'm automatically less inclined to get the same.
Shame to hear you're selling your trusty ZXR400, it must be down to your clunky gearbox getting on your nerves ;-) All I can say on your potential new bike situation is to do some homework first on the particular model in question, because it may have a few inherant problems with it. You mentioned a 2001 CBR600 as a possible bike and that may be ok, but if it's got a similar fuel injection system to my old 2000 Fireblade then it'll be jerky as hell, not a pleasant experience.
Good vids man i was thinking of getting the same bike as i have just passed my test. Im finding it hard to see one with relatively low mileage and in good condition though.
@extreme601 Sounds a fair price :D. if only it was for sale next august you would have a deal ;) :P. Got the link to the listing? , i might try and persuade my dad to revive his teenage years and buy another bike :D
If you look at the market, you'll see that my bike is perfectly priced for it's age, condition and mileage. Why would I list it cheaper than the competition, throwing money away isn't something I like doing in my spare time.
roads are really good!?! holy hell man! you're dodging cars right and left!! we have a whole other lane for parking! haha! thats crazy! but GB looks like a great place to live (besides Utah :P jk)
my 21 year old sister is completely obsessed with the all the culture, landscapes, architecture, people, and accents (especially yours, which she LOVES she says it so dignified) there and it does look like one heck of a place to live! :-)
thanks for the upload mate and im glad its going well for you
On the subject of roads; considering the amount of road tax we pay in the UK, the road services are of a pretty decent standard. When I was living in Ireland, for my 2 litre car I paid €560 tax per year. If I were driving a 3 litre, it's €1500 per year. And the roads are shockingly bad in the rural areas. I can't say that I've encountered a road of similar quality here in the UK.
Great video, glad to hear you've got a few more lined up too!
Congrats on the Job! I knew you would get it! Well done! You sound and come across very employable! I'd give you a job! :) Great to see someone keen to speak of Blighty's benefits. Culturally very diverse, the education and healthcare system is great if just a little underfunded in some areas! But everyone has a right to an education here which we kinda take for granted! Work hard and you will achieve in this country! And if legitimately unable to work, the state cares pretty well in my opinion
I want something more suited to commuting and further distance riding, also looking to keep insurance costs down for 12 or so months, I looked at the SV's but prefer the Honda I think. Thanks :)
Mate, I felt that was a brilliant summery. I'm in the USA for a month at the moment, and was thinking earlyer what I don't like about living in England, and honestly I can't think of anything. The weather is not any extreme, its sometimes warm, cloudy, raining, sunny, windy etc. But nothing too harsh to cope with, the standard of living is great, as are the roads, healthcare and people. And most importently we're free to do whatever we like, which is the main thing.
