Bill Brown here, formerly of the Ann Arbor News. As best as I can determine, this gig took place on 18 February 1983. That's Bill Frank (aka Billi Franx) on drums. Scott Morgan (guitar) and Gary Rasmussen (bass) were not a part of the band, just guests. Another guest that night was Charlie Tysklind, sax player for the Blue Front Persuaders. See youshouldhaveheard.blogspot.com for more info.

Well hell yeah. I was a sperm cell I think when this band came out. It's nice to catch up to them, even if it's so late. The beauty of recorded media, a discovery is only a click away! Glad i stumbed upon this kick ass band!
Absolutely sensational to see DAM perform. Already 25 years I searched for their music. I found some songs on Niagara's website two years ago and it's great to see this video here!
And for those years the video and sound quality is great. Thanks!
I used to play bass for DAM. Now that I'm 54 I can hardly believe I knew these people. Niagara is really like that. Whitest skin I ever saw, like a vampire. She had an exceptionally clear view of life, one of the most enlightening people I ever met.
Amazing footage from this legendary outfit !!!!!!! Legend Ron ASHETON .......is the MAN ......We miss him a lot !!!!!!! I don't like gals in Rock but .......well Niagara is O.K .....Ron ASHETON R.I.P
man this is such a fucking amazing video! check out Gary and Scott jamming out with Ron!!! who is playing drums? one would think it's Rock Action Asheton but it doesn't seem to be.
Well alright what a jam! Thanks for this rare post! It made my day seeing RON(RIP) ASHETON in the mid 80's. Iwondered what happened to him. Heck I did'nt know if he was selling used cars or what! lol
This is weired, i seen the Romantics back in '90-'91 there at the Heidelberg. really no stage to the place besides the back wall, very narrow building with a bar to the one side up towards the front. bands would snake down the narrow stairs to the "stage" area from the second floor.
Didn't the Heidleberg was a restaurant in the mid 70s in Ann Arborn? I remember eating there they had pretty good kraut food too..anyone?

Are you Gary Rasmussen?

I'm Patrick "Jett" Powers. I was in DAM for about two months when they had both Ron and Cary Loren. I think that was the best.
We played one gig at Second Chance. There is a video of it somewhere. Then I moved out of town to go back to college and they got Mike Davis.

I remember meeting her when I was about 12. I thought the same thing - really white skin.

It wasn't a new line up. Just a gig Morgan and Rasmussen got on stage to sit in on.
