@19danflo I know what you are saying. The Impreza WRX is the next best choice, but I honestly feel you would be giving up a lot of creature comforts for the additional cost of the AWD Subaru.
I've learned to live with the front grill. Groceries have never been more fun to get. Add the Cobb AccessPort and a K&N Typhoon Intake and the ice cream is home before it gets a chance to melt.
i was between this car N the GTI, I picked the GTI, its slower but it hadles better in a way, also the interior is so much up scale than the speed 3, not the mention the gas millage, and the small details that make the GTI. But still i like this car
Bought one in april 2010. Got it black so the ''smiling grille'' is less noticeable. Personally, I just don't see it. Handling is really good, plenty of power. An overall great car to drive. Had a 350Z (Summer car / Civic for winter...) had to sell those for a single sporty practical car. Surely miss the Z but not that much when I'm driving my MS3. That's how fun to drive the MS3 is.
eh, seats are not to comfortable. Shifting isn't as accurate. The information center on the dash is alittle on the small side, making it a bit difficult to see. It is quick and handles great. But thats just what I think..lol
The grille does look goofy, but that car is a blast to drive! I never understood the hype of this car until I drove one earlier today. Mazda did a great job with this car.
Wish mazde would have made an AWD model.

@TheZimzamzom i own one, and im going to have to disagree with you, granted i just do "spirited" street driving, not actual racing.

@TheZimzamzom maybe not the best choice but u definitely get feedback in the steering in this car however

how is +92lbs a modest weight gain in a sports car!?
a111z 1 year ago
@a111z it isn't a sports car. It's a hot-hatch

when you consider that the MS3 weighs over 3200 lbs, its less than 2.8% change

smiling grills?? you must be kidding me... by the way grate hood...
joeralphf 2 years ago
@joeralphf Yes, you must be blind if you are not hating that ugly smiling grille. And what is "grate"?
ambientflier 2 years ago
People seem to have lost their sense of car style. Way too many people wine about the front.
The last gen speed3 was plain ugly, this one looks like it deserves the mazdaspeed name.

Finally someone who isn't complaining about the front grille. I personally like both generations but this one definitely is the liveliest. =)

@alphamaledoug Thank you! Lol.

@mxpie80 You are confusing style with ugliness. That grille sucks.

@Robflesh Yep! And the cool ting is they almost always have done a great job, even in some of their cheaper cars.
