  • A silly question from a silly creature who has only seen bits and pieces of the 1999 The Mummy (although it looks pretty good); why does the mummy have superpowers (ex. turning into sand, becoming less dead by turning other people into mummy dust, and invulnerability)?

  • Was this a ride?

  • @Bisbeatle Nope, just a display of props and set pieces at the old Stage 54.

  • The mummy used to terrify me when I was a child.

  • did the ride go upside down or anything or was it just ur everyday roller coaster? Im planning a trip for me & my 2 sisters and they hate rides that go upside down.

  • oh... i thought that is from the movie the mummy:/ i mean jokes and pranks

  • This ride was originally "The Mummy Ride". On a few occasions, the name was change to what people call this ride "Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride".

  • This was a display room back in '99 when the movie came out. It was located where the shrek and donkey thing is at now on that one little street between monsters Cafe and shrek 4d. This was not the mummy ride which did open around June of '04. I used to work on that ride from the first summer until may of '09.

  • wow i didnt no it was opened in 1999 i thought it was about 2003 to 2004

  • there were only 4 canopic jars in ancient egypt they disposed of the brain im not sure whut they did with the heart and they put the lungs intestines liver and stomic... there wasnt 5 jars..

  • @17musickchic17 indeed, the heart remained inside the body, cowered with a little scarabeus, which didnt allow to reveal the persons "sins" or call it whatever you want. besides, it's just a movie, and i remember that there were other things in the movie that doesnt match with the history. but whatever, the movie's great anyway.... ;)

  • no... cause that stuff's in storage

  • Behind the Scenes? Are you sure?

This ride has changed sinse this was recorded I think.

  • At least his uniform is on display at Universal in Burbank with a few artifacts, near the backdraft show.

  • ok they know this stuff will never be used again, we know this stuff will never be used again... I say everything should be put on ebay and given to the fans instead of just sitting in storage collecting dust.

  • woah its way different there now

  • omgggggggggggg my fac movie ever!

i wish i could be there...

  • Just found out, 6-24-08, from Universal that all of these items are back in a warehouse for storage, rats!.

  • How cool, is this at Universal in Burbank or Orlando? Is the display still there? Someone tell me!!!!

  • Orlando, and the vid tells you it's Orlando in the very beginning, at the globe part.

The Hollywood theme park is way too small to host all these cool stuff =(

  • This was my fave movies:0) i loved the old stuff like what they drove. I cant wait to come to flordia and go to DISNEY WORLD & UNIVERSAL.
