I'm an ardent patriot. But, wasting our nation's resources is not patriotism. With all due respect to every branch of our Armed Forces, I think it's time to put the Blue Angels on the shelf. Perhaps in the future when the nation has the money for this needless activity, it can be resumed. Or, if the few folks who attend the shows can afford to buy the aircraft, the fuel and rent the air field, it would be great. When i was 10 years old my family went to one of these so called "wastes". the result was out of the 9 grand children that were there 6 enlisted. 1 to the marines 2 to the army 3 to the airforce. out of the airforce 2 became pilots 1 became an Apache mechanic. a huge waste... i think not!

In reality, if you look at the overall costs and everything else involved, these teams really don't take a lot of taxpayer dollars to keep going. We are going to fly these aircraft anyway, whether it be in a combat zone, for training flights, or so a pilot can have enough hours every month. Might as well use them in a way that entertains the audience.
