This game has a lot of similarities to WoW and a LOT of differences. If you've only ever played WoW when it comes to MMOs, than I would just suggest that you try this out with the expectation that it will be very different.
That being said, I believe this game will replace WoW for me... Finally.
AoC got many good sides and also a few bad sides, the major one being funcom. However a year after release and it will be a whole other game. Just like Wow was. That said, AoC wasnt for me but im not gonna go around and call it a crap game just because of that. Seems very immature to see everything in black and white like that...
Looks like wow only a tiny bit more modern.. which is what WoW needs. A proper modernization of the whole entire graphics set. So we can use flying mounts in the old country aswell.
Well, Requiem Bloodymare is a new free online game same (if not better graphics than WoW) bloody 18+age new bloody MMO really fun, its already pulled more than 1/30 players from runescape and world of warcraft to it, but this game will blow all of those out of the water but....AION is going to beat warhammer hands down, if you dont believe me look it up.

all good games dont add new things to a classic style instead they innovate them. AoC was able to innovate with a combat system and player made cities. WAR will with RvR, keeps, etc. They both have great lore AoC is fun WAR looks like fun :)))))))))
looks like warlocks and priest now look way more cooler than wow's locks and priests not only will you have mounts in this game but some other weird Modes of transportation looks awesome the spells also look cool.

idk how people compare this to wow at all if u look into it theres like 2 things that compare with it and that is the fact that theres orcs ( lol ) and the UI system looks kinda the same otehr than that theres nothing that relates wow to this because wow sucks and so will AoC because who wants to play a human....
i play WoW and i'm thinking about switching to this when it comes out, however i'm gunna wait until my friend gets it so he can tell me about it. the classes that you can chose from are very interesting and some are actually down right scary. another friend of mine is getting AoC, which seems very interesting, and i'm going to wait until i get feedback on both before i buy either one of them.
I'm unsure which I am getting myself. I love that WAR has no stealth, and that everything you do helps your realm in the war effort. I like the heads and beards you get as trophies. But I like AoC's directional combat system more. I also like mounted combat, and it's less cartoonish. I also like player cities. But I think a problem AoC will have, is there are no set teams. It will become just 1 big alliance, and no real fighting against the powerful, who will always win. WAR might be better.

I agree with you man. Everyone compares a game with elves and orcs to danm WoW. Look idiots the idea of Orcs, elves, humans and what not has been around for a lot longer then WoW or even the first warcraft. Also, Warhammer has been around much longer than Warcraft. Plus, WoW was actually supposed to be Warhammer Online but they lost funding and Blizzard took what was already there and turned it into WoW.

how is this an attempt to copy WoW? WoW didn't invent the idea of an MMO, or the fantasy genre. WoW gets really boring after doing the 150,000th sunwell daily lol. I wouldn't judge games before playing them

The problem is that the first good mmorpg was WoW so many people have invested so much time on it that to change to another mmorpg mean doing all you did in WoW makes it worthless which accounts for anger to any new mmorpgs

The only reason why warhammer seems cool is because its new, the idea of it being super cool with all different game styles is the illusion everyone fell for with warhammer. Not saying dont play it just saying people are tards for envying a game as if it is the greatest whether its WoW or warhammer, AoC looks better than warhammer imo :]

Because warcraft was originally meant to be a warhammer game but the idea was scrapped, but blizz kept making it.

also the thing about WoW is that it (was) like the leetest game ever when it came out cause everything was atleast a little balanced and took some skill so little 6 year olds couldnt play it now they made it so anyone of any age could play and ur playin pvp and stuff and get ur leet set finally and then BAM new armor just came out areana whatever tear 6 has begun then ur back from top to mid and get out by ppl who are endgame because they saved there honor for that crap to come out. . /SIGH!

I think we just need to understand that WoW evolutionised too what it is now , and it's basicly because of the players . And if u didn't know : it's the players that imbalance the game , not the creators .

i played Wow from the begining and done all the instances before BC and done a lot of instances in BC, the game just repeated itself. game was brilliant but imo bc ruined it, and you missed my point, "Area?", forget stupid areanas always uneven, nothing beats world pvp in a game like wow but wow lost that long ago.

wow developed from Warcraft, an RTS. WoW is older than Everquest, as far as the lore goes. Warcraft was even derived from Novels.

Yes, because WoW is the *ONLY* MMO to ever make Orcs, or UI's with clickable boxes.

idk how people compare this to wow at all if u look into it theres like 2 things that compare with it and that is the fact that theres orcs ( lol ) and the UI system looks kinda the same otehr than that theres nothing that relates wow to this because wow sucks and so will AoC because who wants to play a human....

i play WoW and i'm thinking about switching to this when it comes out, however i'm gunna wait until my friend gets it so he can tell me about it. the classes that you can chose from are very interesting and some are actually down right scary. another friend of mine is getting AoC, which seems very interesting, and i'm going to wait until i get feedback on both before i buy either one of them.

I'm unsure which I am getting myself. I love that WAR has no stealth, and that everything you do helps your realm in the war effort. I like the heads and beards you get as trophies. But I like AoC's directional combat system more. I also like mounted combat, and it's less cartoonish. I also like player cities. But I think a problem AoC will have, is there are no set teams. It will become just 1 big alliance, and no real fighting against the powerful, who will always win. WAR might be better.

rofl, WoW was not meant to be Warhammer :S, that has never ever even been speculated, BUT! there has been an earlier attempt at making Warhammer, but it was scraped. And no, WoW has never had 10million players, the peak was reached at 8,5 (in rough numbers). And yes this is going to assrape and deepthroat any other mmo for a good while ahead PERIOD

I agree with you man. Everyone compares a game with elves and orcs to danm WoW. Look idiots the idea of Orcs, elves, humans and what not has been around for a lot longer then WoW or even the first warcraft. Also, Warhammer has been around much longer than Warcraft. Plus, WoW was actually supposed to be Warhammer Online but they lost funding and Blizzard took what was already there and turned it into WoW.
