Mario Party 6 is my favorite game in the series. The newer Mario Party games (MP8 and MPDS) Just seemed... boring to me. And it seemed like they didn't carry over that good, nostalgic feeling that you get when you play it.

And I remember one time my uncle was playing as Boo and he walked into an item shop and said "Item shop? But I don't need extra lives, I'm already dead!"

@vuilx14 Yes, I can agree that Mario Party 8 could have been done way better, but the board where you can upgrade the Hotels is kind of cool. The train board was also a very creative one, in the way that the train cars could move location, therefore changing the board slightly every few turns.

i own mario party 1-7 i don't have 8 because i got xbox 360 over it but i think the best ones were 2,3,4,and 5 i like the first 1 but there was no items in it which i think makes the others more fun.i can't judge 8 because i have never played it but my cousin does have a wii so he might get it and i might play it then.

I havent got Mario Parties 1-3 and sold my Mario Party 4. Personally, I think MArio Party 6 and 5 were the best, 7 is still good, but the Computer players are annoying an there are too much Minigames, where you have to bet coins. Mario Party 8 would be good, but they ruined 3 maps and there are noi character pitches (sorry for bad english, but i only know the german expressions)

the only thing i didn't like about mario party 6 is some of the boards weren't very good like snowflake lake and the beach-like level, and the mic was annoying sometimes. But in mario party 7 i like how the make a better version of snowflake lake in the desert.

@TheSeriousGamer I'm playing through Mario Party (the First), and I'm fairly impressed with it, considering its age. Having more mini games, and a few more playable characters would have been cool, but yet again some parts of the Mario Franchise were only surfacing in those years... It is a shame that there were less mini games in the first MP, than the others. Ideas must have been short at the time, or there was concern about storage space on the cartridge.

These games were made to create fun and happy experiences. There are so many games out there that are not positive at all. Why don't you tell us what could be added in this game? There's not much variety in this genre for what you're demanding.

@kuandohan , well, what I'm saying is that most of the Mario Party games are far too similar to each other. Some, like Mario Party 2, 3, and 6, are wonderful and have a variety of differences. But now it just seems like Nintendo's running out of the creativity they once had. I'm not saying these games are bad, I'm just saying they aren't reaching their full potential.

Something tells me you think of me as some immature kid obsessed with first person shooters rather than the Nintendo fan I am...

I have not payed all of the mario parties, (1-5 Are the ones that I played the most, and very nostalgic. for me.)

I think I'm just defending my nostalgia, and are enjoying the games positive energies, more so as to quickly judge someone.

Hmmm I think 7 was by far the best (of the Gamecube ones). My main problem with 6 was the lack of things to do by yourself. 7 had the whole 8 player thing which was great fun at parties haha. 4 wasn't that good but I got it when I was 9 so I loved it.

Well the BEST one is #2, but it's for N64, the gamecube ones aren't very good, but the best I'd have to say is #4. The earlier ones are better, later ones are worse, thats a rule of thumb for Mario Party.
