  • i dont even know what to say....ive studied tarantulas for years and im just shocked..P.MURINUS is a species i wont even have in my home...even if it was in a steel box!

  • why? i mean, just..... WHY?

  • Why dont you buy a toy kid?

Because these are nothing to play with.

  • Please, do that with a Phoneutria nigriventer.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Balls of steel man, balls of steel. The only ones I handle are the more docile ones lol.

  • to jest wariat!...brać murinusa o lol :D powodzenia ja boję się nawet otworzyć mu terrarium :((((

  • ewwwwwwww if i was you, id put that in with the nile for the nile to have a little snack, sorry spiders freak me out

  • @d3th4u2 It would mess you up before you get the change to touch it =/

  • you sir, deserve a medal for your bravery. i wouldnt even touch this fast and deadly monster.

  • i've handled p. mur's but it only takes one incident and you'll never handle them again, that spider looked tired or sick because normaly if you give them just 1 inch of room they will bolt so fast or strike without warning, they are the masters of escape as far as T's are concerned

  • why would you handle it up that high? if it fell from that height it probably would have died...

  • your just asking to get bittin nice T though

  • OMG

  • mine murinus is about 2 -3 inches now...and is not agressive yet.... so i hope i can free handle it when it's bigger...for now i can... :D

  • @slywy666 what do u mean agressive YET, i handle mine like once everyday day sometimes more and he never shows any sign of wanting to attack, is this going to change when he gets bigger?

  • @richbebo

they will change as they grow older. Too much handling made my G.pulchripes attack anything that moves. Besides you're playing with fire handling this species. It's bite is enough to ruin a couple of your days.

  • @Jon3800 =D

  • Nice Tarantula, :) namedclaire

  • I want to start a murinus commune!

  • Beautyful P. murius an nice handling.

Try to handle my King Baboon (Citharischius crawshayi) an you're a hero! :D

  • i have the same kind!

but mine is much smaller... i hope i will be doing that when she gets bigger....at this time its not a problem... XD

  • i got murinus too and i wouldn t

    do thing u do

    btw

how old is urs is it female

    mine is much smaller ;-(

  • haha your awsome dude!

you got guts to hold a OBT~!

i wana buy me some OBT slings.

  • I have murinus, this is very fast spider, most than P cambridgei

  • dude if i were in the US i would shake your hand lol :P

  • This is on my list. Not that I would handle it. These are fascinating creatures and have a painful bite.

  • good way to get attention, no offence.

  • na dude, totally... its fun to watch the view counts go up.. whats the point of making vids if you dont want people to watch them

  • yeah, i agree with you, even tho i dotn have videos ;P

  • And there's a risk I wouldn't take that's for sure.

  • Man, u have balls of steel...

  • this is FAR from balls of steel... u got any idea how fast these things can be? and these are 1 of the aggressives spiders so I dont believe this guy have even BALLS OR RUBBER!

  • rubber or steel........ at least my balls actually have hair.

  • Rubber hairs, eww.

if u didnt get my point, I ment that you maybe know well how to treat these spiders, and they are you are taking good care of them, I believe that. and I think its very stupdi to handle P. Murinus, just because they are so fast and poisonus and agressive. when you handle it. how suer you can be that ut wont start run and then fall from your hand to floor and die? spiders even arent ment to be handled, but ofc ppl do, it is more riskyer to spider when u handle them, than you.

  • koleś albo nie posiada mózgu albo ma jaja jak arbuzy, ciekawe czy jak go kiedyś dziabnie to też bedzie go brał na ręce

  • wielki szacun dla tego typa.

  • Those are some thick webs in that cage.

  • about how long do the p. murinus live

  • ze ten pajak go nie ujebal :D

  • omg, he have a balls

  • That's one skitish OBT.

  • Yea its not going to kill you, obviously its going to hurt and be painfull. Maybe getting bit is a good experience so you know exactly what you are dealing with. I mean you are holding a murinis that ballzy. But holding one after you have been bitten and suffered from a real bite then you are crazy.

  • what will happen if u get bite by a usambara baboon?

  • im really surpised it didnt throw a display at you, you we're treating it like your bitch, and its usually the other way around for OBTs. hahaha. grats, man.

  • I wondering how did you actually pick up/take out the T. from its enclosure? This OBT looks like it's a very extreme one of its species. All the ones I've met would not let anything near them and are impossible to handle. Beautiful spider by the way. :)

  • thats awsome, mines way to fast for me to handle it

  • fuckin radical. mine scares the shit out me

  • dont feed it mice.. its not good for them... ocationaly every once in a while its ok but crickets, worms, roaches are a better all around diet.

  • Spider's can sense people body language and in they find you are scared they will attach

  • dżiiiz man, you have to have big balls xD

  • this murinus is reaaaaaaly calm :P mine lady is 100x faster & agressive... anyway RESPECT :)

  • well just bcoz its a orange baboon doesnt mean u cant handle it,it depends on yr tarantula,my fren has a aggresive chaco golden knee..so it really depends on yr tarantula not on the breed..

  • Job well done, been looking at you and medicineman's vids for the last two days and what can I say.

Extremely impressed, and has inspired me to not be as worried next time my RCF has a hissy fit...

Never know, maybe one day it'll be me getting flamed for proving popular preconceptions incorrect... ;)

You have to promise tho, that the second you get tagged it's on here!

  • also i have to say: balls of steel. this pisses on anyone who thinks their a big man for handling a chilean rose.

  • does anyone who owns one of these bitches give me some tips on keeping them? i bought one earlier today an info on the net is limited. is it safe to remove lid? does it burrow or have an aboreal retreat?

  • You must be crazy dude... I have the same usambara form, but I am scared when I must doing something in his terra... Respect for you! And be careful;)

  • I love this video.

I have a few spiders, and Citrus the baby OBT is just a little monster. In a lovable way.

Rock on -- I'll never have your guts.

  • she was fast! she was good bout goin bak to her spot =] lik she jus wanted to be held. maybe i would get a spider one day =) they seem alright to have. but before i do i gotta stop being scared of them.

  • aaaah it's so freaking fast D8

  • How the fuck did you do that?! I had a breeding pair of these once and they'd get aggresive just looking at me from accross the room. I cant think of a nastier tempered species

  • I was very antsy when watching this video, I have a Rose Hair, but I'm too afraid to handle it. Any tips on how to handle it safely?

  • just take it slow and easy with her.. try not to tap her front feet to much.. always go from the back. and its importaint to stay cose to the ground incase of a fall... good luck

  • I have one that i can handle like this. I have only seen it throw up a threat display when it was in pre-molt, but every spider is bitchy in pre-molt. They like to crawl around alot, more than any other spider i have handled.

  • Tell me, how did you manage to hanle this spider without getting bit? I had a murinus myself and I had to wear gloves

  • what did u do to that murinus! it must be injured, if it wasn't so u can't handle a murinus like that

  • no YOU cant handle a murinus like that.. i on the other hand have pulled it off plenty of times.. the spider is fine and actually just laid a sac

  • i still miss mine

  • dont listen to them...im sure you wouldent handle it without experience in the area! :) by the way beautiful spider! im getting one as mt 3rd T ither that or an ornamental baboon...

  • pff, imo it`s sick and so stupid, man firstly spider are not a hamster or something that and you cant take it on hand cause you broke his natural environment, secondly its very aggressive and venomous spider and he can jump very well so i think you are stupid.

  • and i think your a pussy little bitch with nothing inteligent to say... honistly.. "its venomous" no shit sherlock did you think i didnt know that? "it can jump" again thank you captin obvious!! oh and aperently you can hold them.. just watch the vid. we proved it =]

  • nquest0

Shut the fuck up and keep ur mouth shut.Go buy a clue and a HAMSTER u whining little fucktard.

  • Meaningless is only a stupid/rich guys/father son

Meaningless have very littel penis and handle spider only for show itself to the females.

    Meaningless = littel penis

    littel penis = handle spider

handle spider = to be considered

    your attitude is more easy!!!!!!

  • (youve got to love cut and and paste) first off im not ritch... second off i dont have a father so bastard would be apropreate turm to call me...

even sick bastard would be fine =]

now that we have that out of the way. im getting a little woried about your obession with me.. you comment on all my vids and wont stop talking about my penis.. you need to get OFF MY NUTS and find yourself a girl mate.

  • Hahahahahahahaha!

    :¬)

  • your sorta gay...

  • who the fuck are you!!!!!!! get lost dumb bitch

  • you cant even spell little you fuckin retard

  • mine died and it was a male

  • good

  • it is kick ass when you can hold it without it biting you i miss mine

  • i i miss allot of my T's.. i moved and had to get rid of a bunch of my spiders... ill be getting more soon though the murinus is definatly on the list.. such pissed off little fuckers.. i love it.

  • IT'S NOT A PUPPY, IT'S NOT A GAME, handle a T is not sure for the spider. ONLY more stress for spider.

    I have 40 T but I dont handle ever.

IT IS ONLY A STUPID GAME. I hope the Poki BITE YOU!!

  • ....(yawn)....

Go snaffle ur daddys bung pipe and stick to what ur good at.

  • how about you go fist your mom.. yeah that sounds good... you wouldnt have the balls to do this

  • I have a juvenile p. murinus, and you are one brave soul. I cant even take the lid off the tank to feed it without it going into fullout attack mode. Have no idea how you pulled that off, but its very cool.

  • well, you're mad...but gotta say that spider must come as close to trusting you as is possible to let you get away with that. well done! not that i'd personally recommend handling on that scale with any T!

  • I honestly do not know how you got away from that without a bite. I'll be getting my first P. murinus next month, and I am nervous as hell! It'll just be a 1/4" sling, but all I have dealt with are fairly docile new world species. Although, maybe you couldn't count L. parahybana as docile, it's only a little one.

Made me nervous just watching, hehe. Beautiful T though!

  • Supoerb vid, and a stunning T. I got my first P. murinus this week. And adult female, that I wont be handling lol

  • you're cute

  • Nice tarantula. BALLS! BALLS! BALLS!

Oh yeah...Ya thats mike (medicine man)... hes a crazy S.O.B. good people-CLASSIC!

  • oh my god! what a party whit muniek

  • i had a rosehair opnce that was moody as fuck and the guy at the satore said they were eaaasy. i was cleaning some old food in its cage it wrapped up and it walked form the one side of the tank to were my hand was with tissue grabbing it just to bite me

  • ya i know exacctly what your talking about... i use to know a rosehair with the same sort of attitude problom... some of them are definatly defesive

  • one tiiiiny little suggestion/concern. when they are running away i don't think it is a good idea to cup them or restrain them too much. i would be worried about panicking the spider into biting. and old world t's are potential multistrikers... makes a mess of bites sometimes.

sweet vid :) none of my murinus are cranky at all. only threats i have seen are from G. rosea and A. seemani. heh.

  • wow.... constructive crittisisiom for once.. thanks for the suggestion and its something ill try to work on with my handling personaly.. this was mike handling in the video im sure he will get a responce back in the next day or so.

  • Yeah, but you seem to have a CRAAAAZY idea of 'cranky' ;3

  • lol! very possibly true :)

  • wow man you have balls

  • Ya thats mike (medicine man)... hes a crazy S.O.B. good people...

  • very brave but pretty dumb ! suprised how tame it is great looking spider you have there none the less!

  • You a an idiot, tararantula's are not for handling, specially an orange baboon!

  • really? because it looks like shes doing fine to me?

SHe came out fine, knowone got bit, and she went back in her cage without any probloms.. i dont see a problom with it but maby your to closed mined to see that rules were made to be broken.

  • me and my mate did a video other day we held a orange babbon and golathe bird eater check my folder lol

  • Beautiful Usambara, and good job handling. I've handled juveniles before and found them exciteable but not terribly aggressive for a baboon. The worst I've handled were adults of Haplopelma lividum and Ceratogyrus bechuanicus (which bit me). The C. bechuanicus took off up my arm and ended up in my hair. During the process of disentangling it, it latched onto my finger and injected a sizeable dose of venom which was leaking out of the fang holes when it finally let go.

  • i mean shes eating rats

  • you just feed her on rats? because thats not good for any tarantula

  • who says we feed her rats? all of our T's either eat crickets or roaches depending on the week.

  • Yea he got bit on the finger and his arm swelled purple...convulsions and the whole deal...it was gnarly...but yea we just got a singapore blue but its still a baby...and our king baboon is fuckin huge right now...hes eating rats...it reminds me of a mini lobster haha

  • awesome. but don't feed it rats too regularly. the high calcium intake can cause severe molting problems in the future.

  • lets see you handle a C. crawshayi

  • no problom we have one but its not that big yet.... ill have the vid of my singapore blue up soon but right now its to big to upload.... shes fucking cool

  • If he can handle a P.Murinus a C. Crawshayi would be a piece of cake. Murinus is, IMO the MOST Aggresive spider.

  • well its not so much about skill.. maby like 20% skill and the rest is just having good luck and being willing to push it a bit.. were still waiting for our luck to run out though... it's bound to happen any day now... but we will be sure to get it on video,we promice =]

  • Heh, well I need to get some video of me handling my Lividum, such a cool spider.

  • My buddy got bitten by one of those bitches and was hospitalized for 4 days...my friend is a tough mother fucker and it was the first time ive ever seen him cry like a little bitch...and he got bit by a baby

  • that sucks for him....

  • being tough has nothing to do with your bodys reaction to venom

  • that is very true.. but we know what this spiders vemom can do and took the role of the dice anyway.. neither of us ever said we were tough. Its more a curiousity to see how much of what you hear about a T's agressivness is just hype or if its an actual fact..

  • awesome again i have a orange baboon but mines alot smaller then yours i'd never handel her though:)

  • nice video really, iam not gonna handle a P. murinus that's to dangerous for me man. i got one handling video with me handling a H.lividum, the quality is bad but obvious you see me handling so if you got time come and check me doing it

    Grtz

  • Hi again, MeaninglessEndeavor :)

It is obvious that you are really good with the agressive (and poisonous) species. Should we expect a video of you handling a H. Lividum? I think from the common species (Murinus, Maculata and Regalis (which counts for all Poecilotheria)) this is the only one left with common reputation.

  • well... the handling is done by both myself and medicine man. i am the one doing most of the videoing and talking. this video is medicine man doing the handling and he is by far crayer then i am.. the thing with the lividum is i still havent been able to get one out of the cup without it rearing up and striking. neither of us own one but if we find one and are feeling lucky then ya we will give it a shot..

  • I'm looking forward to seeing this :)

  • H. lividum is not at all difficult to handle once you get it out. it's getting the spider out that's the problem. one good way to do so, is when you're rehousing. if you arent concerned with its old burrow anymore, you can flood the spider out (a common field collecting tactic) the spider usually remains pretty calm. ive handled h lividum, and h longipes. both were cool.

  • I will gladly take your word on that one. :3 *keeps top of tank tightly secured*

  • i mean THIS is amazing. sorry, i'm not good in english :)

  • That is amazing. Handling a p. murinus like this ,wow :) You're real pro, man :)

  • what are you doing ? do you think before ? i´m sure not.

your doing was very dangerous, for you und the spider.

it can bit you, or can falls down und die.

i hope it was the first and last time, you handle a spider.

if you want to handle, then go on the buttom, so the spider cannot falls down.

  • to be fair you are right about the handling from to high part.. we should have been doing it closer to the ground and i will admit that wasnt the smartest move.. as far as being bittin thats not something that were all that woried about.. your talking about allot of pain and muscle cramps nothing more.. its not like its going to kill you or anything..

  • African species are not for me to handle. You are obviously comfortable doing it. Tell me have you experienced the neurotoxin bite from one of these?

  • not yet... but keeping going like we are and we both know that it is only a matter of time... and you can bet that when it dose happen it will probrably end up on here for all of you to laugh at.

  • n1 :D

  • Wow.....freaks. Oh my rosie died....*weeps*

    '

  • great wideo, my spiders are most aggresive:( My murinus is very aggresive but not like P. Regalis

  • i would have to say the black thai(minax) is the most aggressive. if you dont believe me check my video

  • You're lucky you didn't get bitten. It was freaking out near the end. Very nice tarantula though.

  • luck? do tell....
