Well I think he is using the combo because nothing is even plugged into the head...
The Haze series is kinda weird, they are made in India (but Im not a Marshall snob so no biggy for me)
but I've had quality issues sometimes and somethings I dont really get are..
The Haze combo uses "Marshallesk" EL34's for power stage while head uses "Fenderesk" 6V6's, the combo has a standyby switch head doesnt (gues wattage has something to do) and combo has a presenence knob, head doesnt.
who cares about wattage? in total this thing comes out to be like 90 watts and you could play the bottom cab which is its own amp as a 40 watt classical marshall tone amp. hell if you mic it up you could get away with 15 watts in a stadium setting
the word 'musikmesse' is danish, and they talked about at AAGE (only decent guitarstore in Denmark) so i'm pretty sure its in copenhagen, but i've never heard of it anywhere else but on AAGEs website...
'aage' the only decent guitarstore in Denmark? Have you seen other music store? aage has the monopoly at least in Copenhagen.... f*cking expensive store. I only buy on-line.
this is an awesome amp for what it costs. I went to the music store today to try and maybe buy a mesa lonestar, but I wasn't happy with the distorted sound, and the many buttons to have to fool with to get good sounds. THen the salesman had me try this. I kind of sneered at first, but gave it a whirl, and ended up buying one and taking it home. Very easy to get tones to cover a lot of material, without a million knobs to turn between songs. I agree a compressor would be a good investment.
I think what many who view these amp demos don't take into consideration is the fact that (especially in this case) we are listening to music picked up by a crappy camcorder mic or cell phone in the middle or back of a big room, compressed to hell when uploaded to YouTube and then, more often than not, listened to over less than optimal computer speakers. And then claim to be able to distinguish tonal nuance to such a high degree as to pass judgment on what "sounds" good or bad. Think about it.
This video (and a trip to the local music store) definitely convinced me not to buy a Haze.
Several other 4-20W amps (Vox Night Train and AC4TVH, Blackheart Handsome Devil, Blackstar HT-5, and Randall RM20) are soooo much better. Of course, IMHO. ;)
man if you can't hear how good this amp is you should probably go buy a solid state modeler. this amp is VERY good especially for the money. for more gain i'm sure a vintage pedal in front would make it roar in a hard rock tubey kind of way
What about people who want to play MUSIC and would like to know how the amp sounds on the clean channel with chords, and power chords/major chords on the overdrive channel/normal channel (turned up)?
well. you might want to try to get the marshall 1959RR they discontinued making it but im sure you could find it used. (it is randys signature amp 100 watts all tube) or you could buy the marshall vintage modern slash i think likes it. but you might need a pedal to get a good rhoads tone. both cost at least 1500 dollars. so not really that cheap. but you pay for what you get haha. hope that helped some :)
i have a marshall hybrid amp- with the gain all the way cranked up i get a good heavy overdrive sound- i am looking for a pedal that increases the sustain but doesnt change my tone and get kind of a 80s hard rock sound for my soloing kinda like rhoads and evh would anyone like to reccomend a pedal for me?
I always wanted to try a Dunlop Wylde overdirve pedal. I heard Zakk doing a pedal demo with an AVT20 hybrid - and when he stomped the OD - that thing lit up! Very thick , but tight metal distortion with a db boost.
That was a shame...Has anyone ever played an amp where you didn't haVE look FOR A SWeeT Sp0tT???Where you can't a shit sound if you tried??? I lucked out & have 2...#1-a TrainWreak Liverpool clone w/ToneSlut trannies...#2-a Metropoulos 12000 "68 specs... Anybody else have something they can't get a bad sound out of???
My impression is that just prior to this he walked over and bent down beside the amp and adjusted something such as a pedal or rack effect and THAT is what he looked at not the amp!
he wasnt playing through the 15 watt micro stack he was playing through the 40 watt combo which sounds better than the 15 watt , what shocks me on the 15 watt is there is no standby for the amp, no effects loop like some of it's counter parts which seem to have done a better job in my opinion. blackstar, egnator, krank. all have micro stacks and they all sound great. i'm in the market for one of these micro stacks but for the money blackstar seems to be the best for the buck and sound.
it just doesnt use the standy, u use it for wen u take a break to keep the amp on and tubes warm but cut the current to the speaker, cuz it aint good for them to be hot then off n cool then on n hot again, a valve amp without a standby switch u just needa turn the volumes all the way down in place of a standby ... i usualy wait a minute b4 playin to warm them, then wait aobut 2 mins after playin to shut down
any tube marshall amp has great tone. if you're looking to gig any where i'm sure a 50 watt tube amp or a 100 watt . every body isn't going to sit at home and play on the toilet, jack ass
well if you want it clean..not really. but that als depends on the size of the place youre doing....a coffee shop or something with a drummer is is dynamically diverse 15 watts will definitely do
The overdrive channel sound awesome, but the clean isn't very clean. The clean gives you that vintage blues overdrive when you turn up the volume, but you can't get a real clean sound when the volume is turned up.
No i dont have a problem with my 401 (i had the heat mod done) but they have EL84's so they sound more like a Vox than a marshall. And this has the EL34's and have the marshall sound. The 401 is a great amp but i love the marshall sound

Köszi, hogy feltetted a videót! Erősen elgondolkodtam rajta, mert szerintem hasonlít a jól bevált JCM800 sorozatra. Angliában már előrendelhető, és elég jó az ára is! I agree. I like the fact that it has two EL34's instead of EL84's, as well as the fact that it sounds great.
