  • its been a while, nowadays there are no more quality animes until this comes out. with top notch story from america and top notch animeation quality from japan makes great teamwork of anime story telling....i been waiting for adventures and powerful villians and this brings back both, unlike other cheesy villians, mumra actually can torture, scheme, manipulate and have powerful minions, plus character developments in each episode, and really like mumra so strong even not need to transform XD

  • Dude! Mumm-Ra you are not made for close ups!

  • Anyone who thinks this reboot fails doesn't know Quality when they see it. This reboot took something good and made it Great. Lol

  • Didn't you say this topic was dead for you already ?

  • for some reason mumm-ra scares me

  • @john113084 First the fact was that he was holding his own vs 2 of the best swords men on the side of good when he is more of a mage then a fighter. Second Hordak was always Skeletor's teacher and mentor and the comic and toy lines of the 80's had him being a much bigger threat then Skeletor as were the times he showed up in the 80's He-man series.

  • Is it just me or dose Mumm-Ra look scarier in this cartoon!

  • Dammmmnnnnnngggggggg

  • IMHO the voice of the new Mumm-Ra is too weak and not "evil" enough. Could be better...

  • Mumm-Ra looked better in the old cartoon. he had a face to scare the little children watching the show. and the voice acting was way more creepy. one of the best villains of any show.

  • @huntercd ..he looks pretty much the same.. just the voice is different. Pretty sure if Earl Hammond was still alive, he would have been Mumm-ra or at least make a cameo. Mako also would have been a good voice for Mumm-ra but he's dead too. :(

  • @paperluigi64 This Mumm-Ra voice fits as well to me.

  • This new series is awesome and is very respectable towards the original. I'm loving the new version of Mumm-Ra! He's frightning and very powerful.

  • And to think...this is Mumm-Ra really before turning from the decayed form into the ever living!

    Gonna love that day!

  • mumm-ra gave himself an ubercharge!

  • "To the death." Not really the best battle cry when your opponents has "The ever-living" in his name. He's immortal/undead so the only one who can die is you.

  • Looks to be a good new series

  • I love the color scheme for this scene, gives you a sense of "Hey look its Mumm Ra... we're fucked"

  • You know what the best part about this was, aside from the surprise of his sudden arrival on-screen?

The way he said his name, JUST like they did in the old cartoon.

    "MUMM-RA! THE EVER! LIVING!"

  • The original Mumm-ra rolled his R's so much it became funny. The 2011 Mumm-ra doesn't seem to have this problem and actually dedicates more energy being powerful than pronouncing his name.

  • Still getting used to the new Mumm-Ra, but I like everything they have done so far. It looks like they have made him a night of the night though judging by the sunrise just before he completes his incantation to transform. I do like how they have made him far more intelligent than the previous version which should make him more difficult to beat

  • @DanielM2006UK Watched this a couple of times now and he is growing on me. This Mumm-Ra is dark, evil and frightening - a perfect combo. I look forward to more, just don't make him wimpy like they did in the middle of the 80s series.

  • Yes thank you for actually making a powerful villian. Not some under powered wannabe like they did to Skeletor in the He man remake. Mumm-Ra kicks ass in this series so far, and as already mentioned, hasn't even shown his real power yet.

  • @john113084 What do you mean Skeletor was awesome in the He-man remake.

Felt way more like a terrifying evil villain than in the old show.

  • @CyberLance26 Agreed.Frankly I didn't understand how He-Man could survive him.If anything,the Skeletor from the ORIGINAL series was underpowered.

  • @CyberLance26 Yes Skeletor was a little darker in that series. But when did he actually defeat He-Man without some kind of powerup. Never, they made it clear in the commericals and the very first battle; Skeletor had nothing for He-Man. I the first real conflict between Mumm-Ra and Lion-O in this new series, Jaga has to save Lion-O or Mumm-Ra was going to kill him. And as soon as King Hiss appears on the scene in MOTU, Skeletor gets his ass kicked and left out of the storyline.

  • @john113084 I do seem to remember a unpowered up Skeletor fighting He-man and Randor at the same time and holding his own. The thing was Skeletor was never the biggest bad of the MotU universe that roll went to Hordak, who in the remake was near a dark god. Basicly Skeletor is either Slythe or Rataro and Hordak is Mumm-Ra. I must say that I like that even unpowered he is still something of a threat.

  • @togaka3 Barely holding his own, if I recall in a sword fight. I liked him in the series and I liked the series overall, but why make Hordak so powerful. He wasn't even a real threat in the original. Skeletor is supposed to be the real deal, and without the ram stone or the legacy armor; he just couldn't defeat He-man on his best day. But according to the directors Skeletor was the one who would defaet King Hiss and in the end Hordak, just makes no sense to make him weak til those points.

  • @CyberLance26 Please understand that I'm a huge Skeletor fan, and really wanted him to be the badass of the show. However I just never felt they gave his character any real respect as a powerful villian.

  • Mumm-ra whooped those clerics..and he didn't even have to transform to full power!

  • @clwnprince001 And THAT'S the scary part! General Slythh may be Darth Vader, but this Mumm-Ra is THE BIG BOSS! He's the Emperor, and if I had to deal with the two, I'd pick the Emperor over Mumm-Ra in a second!

  • @dynomitis well i think the original Mum-Ra's voice was first class- however I must admit this Mumm-Ra has certainly been more succesfull- decimating the cats kingdome and actullay killing one of the good guys! he already beats old Mumm-ra for that- and this one has not even had to transform yet.

  • I absolutely loved Mumm-Ra's entrance in this series, and I never even watched the original!

  • mumra fucking owns here

  • @xbatusai This is the only time in the new series he does:-)
