  • thanks for the info

  • hey guys , anyone knows how to look on friends videos on facebook ?

  • they should have secretly overclocked the phone before doing the video.

My n900 is nowhere near as laggy and buggy as THAT while running firefox / swiping through lists etc. really makes it look bad. People care about smoothness.

Blegh, the n900 should have been OC'd to at least 750mhz UPON RELEASE. It's an arm cortex-a8, the damn thing can go up to 1ghz.

Hm this reminds me, the PR1.3 update default-clocked my n900, i must bump it up to 825 again ;P

  • getting n900 in three days....and i know i will love it.

  • when is this gay coming ?? still waiting more than 3 months

  • Soon... Today is 17.08.2010 and still nothing about 3d Rollercoster !

  • @Kaka2267 :(

  • cant wait for these games, will look amazing on my overclocked n900.

  • Well my N900 is a major disapointment so far. all I hwar now is firmware1.2 has been released OTA oh really where?

It obviously has not reached Liverpool yet, what a load of old tosh from Nokia

  • for nokia, soon=few months.

  • How soon is soon?

  • i saw flash 10.1 on the n900, and all these awesome games,and.... but theproblem is that nokia never realese them, Nokia we r still waiting, come on these games are awesome.

  • N900 Rocks

  • OMG!!!!! When is it coming. Want this game so bad

  • When will it come to OVI-stores I'm waiting!! come on NOKIA!! <3

  • WHEN???

  • when is this "soon" ?!?!?!?

  • case closed for all u android n i phone lovers maemo /meego rules wait to the next update lol

  • is there any where ilse to download games?(not ovi or maemo)

  • firefox looks bad on this vid i tried it and dint like it microb is really good and even a browser called midori is good too.

  • if you like your N900 you can allways vote for it on engadget com

(N900 is nominated in 2 categories)

    engadget com/2010/02/04/v...gadget-awards/

of course you need replace " " with "."

  • @derty86 u discover a better one then?

  • @keal5528 yes..Nexus One display capacitive,Android 2.1 display AMOLED hd 3,7!!

  • @derty86 why you need HD on a 3.7 inch screen? -.-

720p is for 28" or bigger, 1080 is for 40" or more -.-

    You're such a moron! lol

  • @HowtotakeViagra

there 3 ways i know of just wait and it will be pushed to you over the internet, you can download nokia firmware updater. and theres the hackercentric manual flasher option. the latter i fo not reccomend.

go to app manager and click check for up dates. it should be there. if not just use the nokia updater(download it from nokia, com)

  • Cool! I love to see n900 moving forward. I updated the firmware today and noticed smoother scrolling and faster transitions right off the bat.

    Come on QT!

  • They should port Chrome to Maemo, it would be so much faster than Firefox.

  • @Znupi

True, but chrome uses alot of your RAM memory to run that fast, and since the phone got 1 Gb of ram there isnt much memory chrome can run on.

    If I've understood correctly.

  • Im a happy owner of a N900.. and I LOOOOOVE IT !!!! i had an iphone bfore.. no thanks... itunes?? dont even mention it!! N900 RULEZ!!!

  • @samuel28111976 who buys songs anyways.

    yarrrgh matey :P

  • i am still making my mind up..had i-phone before just bought n900....a bit slow, complicated ....kind of anoying is my 1st impressions bout n900.....but let see how it goes ...if not am off to exchange it with i-phone gs.

  • How to install Apshalt 5 on N900? And such games.

  • @zuja59 i dunno, i wanna know to!!!

  • @zuja59 it works with preenv, but you need to get the need for speed undercover file (.ipk)

  • did any one else get the new firmware update for N900 today????

there are maemo 6 demo apps availible today aswell. get the maemo 6 widget demo app. its amazing

all so nokia & intel announced a merger of maemo and moblin. its called MeeGo. all maemo and moblin apps will run across the board. phone, MID, netbooks. this is the biggest thing to happen in mobile computing history. period!!!!!!! this is a dream come true

  • @ilovemaryam08

the most significant aspect of the maemo 6 demo apps is the undelying fact that maemo 6(MeeGo) will runon the n900. it corrently beimg used to demo maemo 6. this is meaningful to all you peeps that may have been worried that the awesome N900 would get the cold shoulder when maemo adopted QT.

so go get a N900 and be part of the true evolution of mobile computers(N900)

  • @ilovemaryam08 ARE YOU SERIOUS?! wait, where is your source if that is true: will Maemo6/MeeGo run on the N900???

  • well its easy to verify all this if you go to meego()com the 1st thing you see is a n900. go to that site and read the articles. also go to qt()nokia()com

QT is what meego's Graphical user interface, widgets, applications ect ect will run on.

yesterday the engineers at nokia announced that qt was realeased for the N900. so i downloaded the qt demo app and tested out the menu system & widgets.

the N900 was created so people could develope maemo 6(aka meego) which runs on QT. look it up :)

  • @ilovemaryam08 nokia just announced that meego will not be the next OS of n900 since meego doesn't support n900's requirements..

  • @iLykYou16 does that mean the N900 is too weak to support it or what?

  • @Emran2626

    MeeGo v1.0 Supported Platforms

The available MeeGo repositories now include the operating system base from the Linux kernel to the OS infrastructure up to the middleware layer for the following platforms. * Intel Atom-based netbooks * ARM-based Nokia N900 * Intel Atom-based in-vehicle

  • I just updated my N900, where are the maemo 6 widget demo apps? I didn't see them in the Ovi store, are they in a different repository?

  • ya you need to add the extras, devel, those other repositories to your appliction manager. there vids ups on how to add them. i think allaboutmaemo()com has it where you just click a link and it adds them much easier. after you do that you will see a lot of apps. you can find it in the developement category

  • still loving my N900 after 2 months

  • cant wait for these and many other apps for my N900...

  • the rollercoaster looks cool.

    firefox could have been better.

  • n900 should have mms on the next firmware update....

  • It's not over yet for the n900. Cool.

  • Great stuff, loving the 3D coaster thing!

  • @waitesy01:

seriously? you can judge nokia's choice for micro usb connection mounts but don't realize that the micro usb has nothing at all to do with the apps demonstrated in this video?

i'm curious - exactly what sort of micro usb connector do you think should have been used? clearly you're an expert in this field and so you have a great course of action ahead of you to follow: just solder it back in place. not that end users should have to resort to this but clearly you are an expert.

  • I still won't buy it:

    -No voice guided navigation yet

    -Few Ovi services supported

-USB fiasco and bad response from Nokia

  • Sygic McGuider should be available right now. So voice guided navigation is now finally possible at least.

Ovi Maps will follow. For free. ;)

  • i´m a n900 owner but he is right with his arguments: Sygic is still not out and Sygic and Nokia have some trouble...also Ovi Maps is not coming out for shure for the n900

  • How do you know that Ovi Maps will come for the N900? There was no announcment whatsoever.

As for McGuider- it's still not out and even if it was- it'd be another 100€ or so for something that's free on most recent and all new Nokia GPS equipped smartphones.

  • I LOVE MY N900!

  • It's a shame i won't be able to experience these apps, as the mini usb on my N900 fell out for no reason. Nokia used surface mount connectors to fit the port to the circuit board, and after 6 days normal use it came loose and fell out. Nokia said they won't repair it under warranty due to user abuse - but i did nothing to cause this fault. This is an inherant design fault, and i'm going to make Nokia pay for the repair/replacement. My N97 broke yesterday too, NOT HAPPY!

  • lol,...i´´m shure you are an iphone asshole!

  • slowish

  • i'm a really happy n900 user and linux user from a long time, and the announcement of meego is really exciting but i don't like the strategy that nokia is trying, it just seems that they don't know what they're doing and are just trowing arrows everywhere...

  • i really hope they're joking with this, first off, games aren't apps... firefox for mobile only opens youtube flash content and is sluggish than microb (the stock one) and the fb integration is not taht great because you cant save the fb im to the contact info just like you can on the other services, because fb servers gives the user a different id everytime they log in, and you cant use fb chat plugin on linux pc or maemo without login out of your current fb session so, it needs a lot of work

  • @gach87 what?

    1. games are, indeed, apps. some ppl care more about games than other types of apps.

    2. firefox uses the builtin flash plugin. it comes with flash disabled for all sites for power conservation.

    3. who cares that firefox is slugish? mozilla makes firefox, you can't judge nokia by what mozilla does and doesn't do.

    4. your comments re: FB are a combination of truth, lies, and plain garbage. hard to follow or even reply to without just bursting into a flame war

  • men ive been using the fb plugin in pidgin, the same used on the n900 with the haze telepathy wrapper, and have it installed on my n900 is not truth, lies, garbage or anything is just PLAIN FACTS!!!, about the firefox thing, i wasn't blaming nokia... is obviously mozilla's fault i use microb because is just better and if people care about games they should buy a GAMING device, is something that happens even with people that complain about games on pc and xbox or ps3...

  • This video gives me hope that the n900 will have more features than it have rights now! because right now it has too little applications and games! N900 is a great device but lacks of too little support and too little software! hoping the best =)

thx for sharing the good video

  • That all looks realy great. Hope to get my N900 soon
