No Zodiac Spear after a 5 hit combo using the RNG method

@steftus94 wont work because it doenst have the RNG that a PS2 has , also save state / load state will not work because always the same will happen after you load it again ( unless you can prove me wrong )

You have to equip the diamond armlet, you probably still had the cameo belt on.

Equip a diamond armlet if you don thvar one onn and try again, it will work but not without a DA

in this video, he was using the shield + cameo belt combination since he has the brawler augment activated (meaning he totally forgot to switch to the diamond armlet). i was about to try this myself, so i'm glad i saw this and saved myself a horrible mistake.

Guys, you need to read the UPDATE on the RNG guide.

problems...

You have to be in the Henne Mines COMPLETELY prepared.

Turn your PS2 COMPLETELY off.

Turn it on.

You need to get to the chest with as little hits as possible, every hit you take throws the RNG more out of order.

If you've the brawler liscense, you need a shield & a cameo belt.

When the chest is opened, you need to have the diamond armlet on your party leader.

the 5-hit NEEDS to be around 75-90 hits.

I was hitting myself (Vaan) for a while, and I got tired xDD so I changed him for Balthier who was lower leveled and he didn't need to use shield to don't damage himself..... BUT when I finally got the 5 hit combo and put that stupid Armlet (xD) I opened the chest AND!!!:..... 2200 guil ¬__¬

P.S: I can't complain at all.... cuz I got 2 Spears befero that in less than an hour! *¬*

I guess I could be a noob because I got stuck at giruvegan and never beat 12. But where exactly can you get the Diamond Armlets? Name the place, and the room and I will find the chest or seller sooner or later. I find items on maps with direct location, so if theres a chest in a place name the room. Just like save crystals, Salikawood gatecrystal is in quietened trace being the room, salikawood map. Nebreus deadlands save crystal in muted scarp, deadlands map. Tell me pls, and ty. :)

Well theres allot of methods heres one at Giruvegan you get it from the Mom Bombs from killing them. Another is harder but theres a 10% chance you find it in the chest at Garden of Life's Circle in the Tchita Uplands and a 50% chance its a item and a 50% chance of diamand armlet or you could always beat Giruvagen so up to you hope it gelps :)

i was sooo happy so i equipped the Diamond Armlet

Opened the chest........

and got 8067 gil !!!!! :(

If somebody knows why this happened

mmmm. the only thing i belive is wrong is that

you put the gambits of after the 5 hit combo finish,

at least that what i think because that what

happend to me the first time... (the second try i get Zodiac Spear in 3 min. XD)

I bet you all the tea in China that you didn't have the diamond armlet equipped. You were hitting yourself with a shield equipped which means you had a Cameo Belt on too. You didn't swap for Diamond Armlet when 5 hit combo came which is why you got the Elixir.

I'll throw in another bit of advice (although it's obvious but I have done it a few times on accident =()

Wait until you FINISH the 5 hit combo. Equipping the Diamond Armlet in the middle of the combo cuts it short and seems to mess up the RNG in the process.

It finally worked. I even have a video of the successful attempt. But there is no need to upload it. I got the ZS the same way you got it in your attempt number 78 (100 runs of ZS).
