U can find videos about her life(in Korean Language). She started to be "trained" to be singer when she was 10 or 13 (or smthg like this). Part of her training was about learning Japanese language. So nowadays she lives 6 months in Japan and 6 months in Korea to work on shows and advertisements...I'm living in Korea, and I think she is more famous in Japan than in Korea. Koreans think she is too short to be really popular, but as Japanese people are shorter than Koreans I think they don't care^^

@ghsilva Well, yea. I guess Koreans missed out pretty much a lot if she ain't as popular in Korea! Basically Japanese are very homogeneous people. Not that it is bad, but they usually don't readily welcome foreigners. BoA is a legend in Japan. I think people who don't know BoA's background would definitely think that she's a Japanese because she is SO MUCH more popular in Japan compared to any other foreigner-singers.

I know~! when she made her album Made in Twenty was when i noticed there was a change in her voice. and by love letter there was REALLY a big change!
