@SteelEagle33 i would look into banks systems they have alot of protocols to stop you from blowing up the truck but you shouldnt have an issue if your just looking for a bit of power gain with the edge system but dont try to keep up with this dodge lol

gas engines can make the same power but you'll be rebuilding it every time you put your foot in it. gas motors dont make power today, they are just choppy so it feels like you are going fast, when in fact, you aren't. gas motors aren't even 1/4 the motor that diesels are. especially the cummins.
eclipse whatever your name is, diesels make just as much horsepower as gas motors. gas motors don't last 1/8 of the time a 1000 hp 5.9 liter diesel will. hell i'd like to see a 359 that makes a 1000 hp in a gas motor. diesels get way better gas milage and they are absolute monsters in the racing world. gasoline is a solvent and diesel is way more of a lubricant. you're little ricer won't make it past 50k with a turbo in it. let alone 60 or 70 psi of boost that diesels hold up to.

"Torque" this and "Power" that- the truth is they usually make less power than the base model gas engine. By the time you hot-rod them to make decent power they get shitty mileage and are less reliable than the gas motors.

The one and only reason production diesels are better at this moment in time comes down to one word. TURBO Thats it!! Why is it that a NA gas engine can compete with a Turbo'd Diesel, now if they added a turbo to the V8 gas engine people wouldn't buy a diesel except for the sound. A turbo gas engine will always whip the shit out of a turbo diesel engine.

First of all, most diesels are normally 1-ton trucks. Your little car probably weighs 3 times less than that. Second of all, diesels outperform gas engines stock because they have more torque, fuel efficiency, they don't require spark plugs, the engine lasts 3x longer then your gas engine ever will, they put out less emissions and if you ever did a tow-off that truck would pull that shitty little eclipse across the parking lot and probably blow your tranny in the process.
Maybe he would only pull me around because of his 3x weight advantage. The only reason they outperform the gas engines is because they had to mod teh diesel with a turbo just to compete with a gas engine. If all engines were turbo'd I really doubt that anyone would still buy a diesel. I would much rather have a turbo big block in my truck.

If you notice, not very many show any signs of wear and tear due to work, scratches on the bed, small dents, etc.., its probably because they never even use them for work. hp dont mean crap and u know its about torque and it will last longer and there alot better on fuel so i dont get the point of a gas engine over a deisel and no they dont have more torque unless they did stuff to the truck but deisels have way more torque

yeah and look how the diesel audi r10 has taken advantage of that rule and has absolutely dominated the le mans series, and now the r15 winning its debut race at the 24 hours of le mans. now thats torque for ya

It would only seem plausable to try using a Diesel with the lack of competition in the Le Mans series. The big names dropped out leaving Audi to race against like only 3 or 4 other teams. They probably dropped out after being owned by the R8 yr after yr.

exactly, cuz they were gettin owned by a diesel... and they were running out of money and not producing good results anyways. but when the r10 started whoopin ass, every manufacture was still in it, all with gas motors. now acura and peugot have switched to diesel, and those 3 diesel models took all top five spots at the 12 hours of sebring this year. see a pattern?

First of all, most diesels are normally 1-ton trucks. Your little car probably weighs 3 times less than that. Second of all, diesels outperform gas engines stock because they have more torque, fuel efficiency, they don't require spark plugs, the engine lasts 3x longer then your gas engine ever will, they put out less emissions and if you ever did a tow-off that truck would pull that shitty little eclipse across the parking lot and probably blow your tranny in the process.

Maybe he would only pull me around because of his 3x weight advantage. The only reason they outperform the gas engines is because they had to mod teh diesel with a turbo just to compete with a gas engine. If all engines were turbo'd I really doubt that anyone would still buy a diesel. I would much rather have a turbo big block in my truck.

So why do we have all these videos of Dumbass's thinking they have race trucks. If you notice, not very many show any signs of wear and tear due to work, scratches on the bed, small dents, etc.., its probably because they never even use them for work. They should have bought a vette and put a diesel in it, it would make more sense than wasting a completely good work truck on racing.
