they have been banned in the sense that management wont let them use it in matches. which technically makes them banned. the shooting star press and 450 splash were banned to injuries such as Chavo's. Paul London needed a new finisher and was in trouble since he used after it was banned. to use any move in the wwe you need approval. so even if they arent technically banned, you can use them just because you want to. you need to get approval.

Yeah they also banned choke holds right after the Benoit thing because Vince didn't want the footage used against them. O_o. Anyways I think the bans are stupid. The wrestlers know which business they are getting into and should take it. This is why TNA's X-Division is better than the Cruiser Divison in WWE (currently) because TNA doesn't hold back.

I cant blame them for trying to protect the welfare of their wrestlers. The banned choke holds applies to the same theory; they arent to be used without approval. i also enjoy the x division. but according to rumors, tna will be phasing out their x division title after hard justice, which would be a real shame.

If John Cena wanted to use a piledriver at Wrestlemanis, it wouldn't be banned as it would be a one-off. If Davari wanted to use a piledriver on Heat, he would be strongly discouraged from doing so for obvious reasons, and if he did it anyway he'd be majorly in the doghouse. Whether that is the same thing as a move being banned is down to personal opinion.

The road agents have told Paul London that he doesnt need to use the 450 or SSP to get over. He uses the standing SSP which is more dangerous so that means the top rope on isnt banned. Not to mention corckscrew moonsaults are allowed. No moves are banned you IWC marks.
