@drdavidNeiman..these are terrific lectures. He had a wonderful style of presentation and many years of practical experience. it was my interest to find some lectures on what these civilizations thought about their own cosmology, and this is what he addresses so well. thank you very much for posting.
Let me issue and control a Nation's money and I care not who makes its laws".
Amschel Bauer Mayer Rothschild, 1838:
I have long held that the true goal of the NWO's war on Islam is not to inhibit terrorism, stop the spread of nuclear weapons or steal oil. The goal is much larger. It is to destroy the Islamic banking system where Sharia law prohibits the payment or acceptance of interest fees for loans of money. Because Debtors are the slaves of the lender.
@DrDavidNeiman no sir, spend a bit more time doing google searches. Wikipedia is not a good source of information, truly research this subject. It (Ta-Seti) preceded the lower Egyptian empire. It was part of the Nubian pharaonic Empire. But we are going in circles, the information you have presented in your class while good is not 100% correct.
by the way am an iraqi and i would like to say one thingIRAQ CAME FROM THE ROOT WORD EREC WHICH MENT LIQURE SOO BUT OBVIOUSLY THEY HAD WINE BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY TO CALL IT IRAQ was a wrong reason because dictators had way too much to drink and killed murdred and just drunks you know liqure is killer
this is very,i am going to use slang typing and i dkc i was wondering why yu say that wher do yu get or got yur information from since your assuming hey , oprox 8000 bc this and that and asspecialy when ur sayin the mongol traders came and made an actual civilization in mesopatamia (controlled by natives) beacause of all this nonsence your assuming
its not iraq. iraq is the name the english put for it in 1930. its "betnahrain"(mesepotamia) or if u actually do want to politically name it we can call it sumeria or assyria
The civilizations Dr. Neiman discusses in these lectures are those of the anicent near East. These more advanced civilizations were the first to practice intensive, year-round agriculture. This allowed for specialization which necessitated record keeping and the development of writing.
I dont quite understand when you say more advanced. What about the Africans that migrated to those areas as well as the lands in Africa that where settle and developed? I wonder if this is a continuation of the down grading of Africas contribution to the ancient world.
Again, Dr. Neiman is speaking about advanced agricultural communities and writing. These developments occurred in the ancient near east first. This is not a racial issue.
I didnt say it was racial. I just wondered since the earliest ppl were from Africa, why they were not mentioned? Are you aware of what some of the European scholars of the 14th century and on tried to do with the information about Africa?
tw1704, the earliest people were from Africa. The earliest agricultural civilizations, except for Egypt, were not. If there was an advanced civilization in Ethiopia 5,000 years ago, it's a darned shame they didn't leave any trace of it. People in 3,000 BC (it's OK to spell "people" with the vowels, this isn't twitter) had pretty much the same racial characteristics that people have today, with less mixing. Who cares what the color the ancient Egyptians were? Dr. Neiman wasn't European.
You obviously dont know of the writings of some European scholar who attempted to bury the African contribution to the ancient world. Find out for yourself then give me your opinion.
"ppl" "people" What the hell is your point?
Its pretty clear that your one of those who wont even attempt to investagate what im saying but your ok with saying that Ethiopia didnt leave any trace evidence.
Race does matter because some European scholars made it matter.
Im sick of reading the writings of some whites on youtube and seeing Africa has no important contributions to the ancient world, look at Africa today, look at the codition of blks around the world, we are savages, etc..
Why are we still uncovering things today that challenge whats taught in some history books when it comes to this subject?
And there we have it. You are a racist, and it is ugly. Well brother, I am black, too, and I don't need to falsify history to bolster my ego or my political agenda. Unlike you, I prefer the facts, and the simple fact is that sub-Saharan Africa, while it was the cradle of humanity, was not a cradle of civilization.
What happened (or did not) 5,000 years ago doesn't make you or me more or less important or valuable as human beings today.
Based on your response, your mentally gone. IM RACIST TOWARD NO ONE! I just believe the truth is valuable and must not be tampered with. The only way ppl can get along is to be honest first.
Since u accused me of falsifying history, debate me on this topic.
Present a single fact and I'll be glad to debate it, but all you seem to be able to do is to attack others then hide behind the color of your skin to keep them from fighting back. Well, brother, my skin is as dark as or darker than yours, so you can't Mau Mau me.
I have my points of scholarly disagreement with Dr. Neiman, but he was not a racist, and only a real twit would insuate otherwise.
Sorry, I meant "insinuate." Not that I suppose improper spelling would bother you in the slightest, since you still seem to think that the word "people" has no vowels.
You keep talking about "white" scholars. What does their race have to do with their scholarship? Only a racist would harp on the ethnicity of historians instead of their ideas.
Dr. N IS DEAD SO DON'T COUNT ON HIM TO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE THINKING OR TO DISCUSS IT.
I'm not debating your crackpot slogans. If you want a debate, name a single specific technology or cultural development that Africa (outside Egypt) contributed to civilization but that most scholars ignore, and we can start there.
You can't go around insinuating that others are racists and then expect me not to call you out on your own racism. I am upset, because you are slandering a man who (a) can't defend himself and (b) is manifestly innocent of the charge.
I don't take orders from you, and you have yet, after several opportunities to mention a single invention or cultural development that would ignored by scholars. You're a "wikipedia" level guy, not a serious scholar, and you're a racist, so I'm done with you.
Re-read what I said and calm yourself down. I didn't know he was deceased. I asked a question that is a current debate.
I never said I was a serious scholar but I do read different souces, compare and contrast and ask questions of existing beliefs. I've also watched debates where some professors would make a claim but couldnt defend their arguement.
ONCE AGAIN, stop crying and lets debate Africa's true contribution to the ancient world.
(1) I don't take orders from racists like you. (2) I've given you several chances to start a debate by naming a technology or cultural development that originated in sub-Saharan Africa which scholars ignore, but you can't. It's pretty sad that you can't think of a single example to back up your thesis.
You start out wrong with this so-called sub-Saharan Africa bull that you and others like you use to seperate Black Africa from the Nile Valley. Stop it.
You talk as if your some world famous scholar yet you cannot bring yourself to admit that Africans were capable of creating a civilized society before Europe.
Lets start where the earliest humans, migrations and settlements.
I never said anything even remotely implying that Africans (black or otherwise) were incapable of creating a civilized society, and I never said anything like that. They did. It was called Egypt. Dr. N. discusses it extensively in his lectures and European scholars have never ignored it.
If your point is that all ancient Egyptians were black, you need to look at some Egyptian artwork. Google it.
You're a racist and a moron, and I'm done arguing with you. Goodbye.

@DrDavidNeiman with all due respect Dr. Neiman, there are areas in Nubia that have proven to be as old and advanced as Sumeria such as Kerma in Sudan and there is one even older to the west of that area that had writing, monuments and everything else. tw1704 is wrong in that there are no holes in your presentation. You clearly say this is in relation to western civilization. There were areas in Africa that are just as old and just as advanced.
@tw1704 Africa? Man when brittish imperialists visisted Africa, the people were like animals and cannibals, the Portugese and the other europeans calimed the people over Africa as canibals, africans were not civilisated, the people called NIGER were used as horses and other animals to done works as slaves, africans were animal related, so the africans becamed used to be a part of the animal families, it was later when africans becamed religous for Abrhams God wich lated were respected as humans
@1Azadman That has to be the dumbest comment ive read in a long time. Ive attemped to debate your type in the past and got nowhere. Your comment just beat you in this discussion. Your spelling and intelligence is too low level to continue this discussion. I actually feel sorry for you.
@tw1704 What about it? Subsaharan Africa never developed a system of writing and didn't advance beyond primitive tribal societies and kingdoms. Civilization started in the middle east, get over it. Even the Chinese can't claim otherwise. Afrocentrism is as intellectually bankrupt as eurocentrism.
To make this very clear, Egypt/Nubia/Carthage =/= Subsaharan Africa, the place Europeans and the Caliphate took slaves from.
nice videos but i dont believe in evolution and i dont believe in the age of the earth being hundreds and thousands of years. 7,000 years appears much more likely to me

Based on your research, what was the race of ppl on the planet?
What race of ppl were the Ancient Eygptians(Kemites,Nubians, etc) in at least the first 5-10 Dynasties?
Is Ethiopia the mother of Eygpt?

I never attacked the professor. I just had some question for him. HE'S A PROFESSOR SO I EXPECTED HIM TO SHED SOME LIGHT ON WHAT I WAS THINKING.
