@silviob155 Some people just don't get it. Can you ride a dirt bike legally on the roads? No. Not unless it's a dual sport/enduro/etc. which would cost a HELL of a lot more than building a motor bike. Plus any old sap can go out and buy a motorcycle. It's fun to build your own machine every step from the ground up. But please, ride your YZ or KX or what-have-you down the streets. You can see a motorbike pass you as you're pulled over having your bike impounded. :)

@BayouBluesMan What do you mean? It's just one of those cheap disk brake setups that you can buy on eBay.. Usually less than $30. Works the samw way as the emergency brake in cars with rear disc brakes.. Cable pulls on a lever, which rotates a screw mechanism pushing the brake pad against the disc. Couldn't be simpler.

@BayouBluesMan Without a better pic I have no way of knowing exactly how they put their setup together. However, it does not matter which way (or on which side) you mount a disk brake setup. Disc brake style wheels have a separate mounting flange for mounting the disc. It is mounted to the hub where the spokes mount, and is therefore not affected by the gears or one-way clutch. Hope that answers your question.

I put an 80 cc engine kit on a full suspension bike but the chain tensioner I built wont let the shock come back up and when I pedal start the chain slaps around. Kinda pist about it and thinking about going back to a hard tail.

By changing the reeds(steel to carbon fiber), reed cage (new one has stuffers), carb, ignition and flywheel. Also changing the clutch from a two shoe to a three shoe clutch makes a big difference.

Actually the motor is an Italian 5.8hp that's been upgraded to 9.4hp 50cc motor.

How do you come up with 9.4 HP from your 50cc engine? A Suzuki DRZ125 will only make around 7-8hp with a factory 125cc engine. Not trying to dog on ya, just trying to figure out where you are getting such a high number from.

The 9.4hp is the specs from Morini. 7-8 hp is pretty low for a 125cc motor. I have friend that race 125 shifters and TAG karts and their motors(Rotax & Hondas) put out 30-40hp.

Its an all around center bleed pipe. The clutch engages at 6k right when the pipe kicks in. It climbs every hill we've tested it on.

Nice bike, but it doesn't have a shifter kit, so you can power your full gearset.. Sick bikes shifter kit and freewheel have changed everything.. Add one of those to this bike.. It would move up to AWESOME status! Still pretty cool tho!

6.5 hp?  My motorized bike is 50cc and 2.5 hp and it goes over 36 mph!! This is plenty fast for a bicycle, believe me. Oh, mine also gets about 150 mpg as well. Why does this bike need 6.5 hp? Nice looking bike though, great work.

Sweet bike man. The Morini engine looks so much better than the the Chinese engines - they are perfect for Beach Crusiers. I almost want to make on of these. I like the design of the engine-side sprocket. You did a good job putting everything together. The only criticism I have is to wrap the gas tank in nylon or something. Those milky-tinted gas tanks are ugly, no matter what bike there on.

Thanks, I agree with the tank. That's why I bought a black goped tank cover. A cruiser would be killer with one of those smaller 3hp Morini motors. They are quiet compared to a 5.8hp motor.

it would be considered a moped until 49cc then its considered a motorcycle and you have to register it as one and unless it passes all the motorcycle requirements of your state you cant get it registered as anything street legal, this you could get registered as a moped, im guessing thats like an 80cc engine atleast but if you put 49 down and keep it quiet they usually dont bother you
