I'm new to the sport, and my instructor is a Pedro Sauer black belt. I second that this is the best speech I've listened to (BJJ). Going all out doesn't equate to learning!
Met Pedro in Ny in early 1990's, he wasnt well known then and we had a great seminar, and yes he was a very humble guy and great technician, I am glad he is getting the respect he deserves after all these years, I hope to train with him in future,I stopped BJJ due to injuries a while ago, but if I can get back into it, hes the teacher I will search out for sure
As a student under Pedro I can honestly say the guy is all class! He's not only a great instructor but a great guy. If he comes to your school, make sure to take him out to dinner. Pick his brain and listen to the stories he has about training with the Gracies. Just an all round amazing guy.
one fo the reasons I gave bjj up was cause of the morons I trained with, not tapping mentality, more mma guys though who had such huge ego,s couldn't stand them. I now roll with someone good and knows what bjj is!
i just moved to Maryland from Pensacola to train with him. I've been looking forward to this for a long time. Looking forward to learning some awsome Jiu jitsu.
I have spent many years listening to his wise wisdom. He is so different from many other instructors. In my mind Pedro Sauer is the best BJJ instructor in the world.
I get to train at the Sandy academy from time to time, Pedro's school before he moved to east coast. He is an amazing instructor and an incredible person. Go train jiu jitsu!
Play... best way to learn and best way to pass on knowledge.

Trained with Master Sauer a few times in Virginia Beach during seminars. The nicest most knowledgeable man in jiu jitsu. A true class act.
