I don't like the open Plan. I think it needs fully locking doors with fully closing windows as an option, maybe carbon fibre as not to add too much weight. It will be expensive, but that is for the buyer to choose.

Anyway, tweezy in fact will be out this year. It is actually more stylish than this prototype.Its all ok,even without windows (you should treat it as a scooter), and its autonomy of around 80km is alright for daily use. But the downside is that it will be with a maximum speed of 75km. Not even the speed you would get in a city ring road!

Hence it is strictly for inside the city and thing else.

But in Tweezy even the last gram counts as its small size can fit only small batteries to give an autonomy of 80km (55 to 120km depending on how you drive it). The car inside no matter if having a steering wheel, it is designed to be a scooter so you get inside with the clothing you would wear with a scooter.

General protection however is good and even rain won't trouble you much. Onlyextreme weather conditions you should have a problem.

@notgodsemigod I do not agree. Look at citygo.it cars. They seem crappy, but at least they have windows. No scooter weights 450 kg. How much could two windows weight? 5kg? (Moreover windows for bottom part of doors can be added as optional) It is 1% of total weight. How much could this affect energy consumption? Considering energy consumption depends on air resistence, tire friction, and acceleration. The first factor doesn't change with weight. The third might too if energy is recovered braking

@z0rr0rr0r 5kg is already important for an electric car and its battery, I can tell you - but it is not just the windows, it will have to be the addition of a real door and that will be more than 50kg if you add up all related parts.

I would guess a nice solution to avoid all hussle is to put transparent plastic protection with hand-opened windows... which will indeed add no more than 5kg.

I think that they will do it.

But the idea is to drive this more as a scooter than as a real car.

However I do agree Dezir is just amasing and Renault guys should produce it as it is. But then you have to realise that production has its parameters and needs - you just cannot produce prototypes at the cost the customers are ready to buy. If you would be willing to buy eg.a Renault Laguna at 80,000 euros, trust me, it would be easier for the design to be superb.
