They were still on Mute - an indie label. Their music just evolved. Though it is true that they supported depeche, the two bands were quite cIose on the same label and Mute had the feeling Nitzer Ebb could go more mainstream. I just love Ascend, my favourite NE single. The earlier records had more power and energy, the latter one were more about music, they just grew. It's a pity they didn't do any album after Ebbhead.
Hi, Katarina here. I've been a fan since my teens in Slovakia. I live in Canada now, west coast (10 years and counting). It's so good to hear these songs again, I've never seen these videos before :O)
hahaha i love it because my father yes my father is the truck driver they payed him a hundred bucks to drive in a circle and then took him out for dinner it was filmed in california in the fall of 1991 his name is Thomas Cook haha. and the company he drove for was Verquer Trucking out of Sterling Colorado. haha.

They started using guitar samples at this point.

they made such brilliant music early on - sadly it went downwhill about this time 92 when they watered it down for the major labels

The monogram may be correct, but this is not Anton Corbijn's work. This video is directed by Angela Conway, long-time collaborator of Nitzer Ebb.
