not necessarily, i've seen people with really coily hair but when it is pulled down it is to their waist. It depends on what is done to it( and i mean - no pieces added). I don't consider my hair to be very coily, but i've noticed a few times if i don't take preventive measures when i'm washing it- it really coils up and it's really a problem getting it untangled it can even shrink up to a quarter of it's natural length.

Hold your head up high I do. I've been ask the same question, and of course you were a whole lot nicer than I was. I've even had a guy on the job, and a supervisor touch the top of my head to see if I were wearing a weave, of course I got fired for my replies, and threats, oh well.

We as black women have come a long way especially with our hair. You have to over look some people. Some women feel as if they have to cut another sista down to get information. I agree its how you do things. I love when another sista ask or compliment me on my hair, nail, jewelry etc. Because that passing the blessing. Someone had to hip me, and I share the love. There are people who ask because they want help, and asses that are just rude, my personal beauty regimen is PERSONAL. I've seen many a fake boob and i never ask "are they real?". I'm letting go of feeling pressured to confess my beauty, my new response will be, "that's really rude or inappropriate" For those who seek education, my new advice will be to open a Youtube account and watch Muffins and others. I never understood why is it so important if someone decides to wear a wig, weave or extensions. People should be concerned about what's in the person's heart and mind not what is on top of their head. I can understand if someone was walking around with a moose on their head , that should be the only time anyone should have any concerns..............smdh and lol!!

well it is all about Black people because when white people wear extensions, etc, it is automatically assumed that it IS your hair. Ifr the same kind of hair is seen in Black people, it is unfortunately automatically assumed that it CAN'T be our hair! That's why its "all about Black people"

someone just asked me today in front of these white people if my hair was my hair and they looked at me like omg. I said yes it's my hair and it was a blk dude that asked me of all people who should understand. I feel u and the other lady but really its not just females its everyone. THANK YOU....I have natural medium-longer length hair also...and just cause I wear a wig or extensions doesn't mean I don't have HAIR...there are plenty of women with PLENTY of hair underneath those wigs...and a big reason why they have all that hair is cause they aren't BURNING and messing with it every day because they are wearing protective styles...the folks who care so much if its yours are really the insecure ones..they want to know its not yours to make themselves feel better..

Hey Ladies, I agree. What I don't understand is, white woman have been rocking weaves for years. Just type the keyword sally's beauty supply or euronext and all you will see are tuts for installing. In europe wearing a weave is as common as brushing your teeth. I love watching the half weave tuts, keep um coming!

You are very pretty and I agree I have a good length of hair as a black woman but like diff looks and yes I have been asked if its my hair mostly when I DONT have in pieces which annoys me. Its mostly other black women who will ask and then touch the hair to see if I am lying lol. Really as long as it looks nice what diff does it make?? I never ask, btw i would assume it was yours unless u said otherwise LOL
