  • WTF is this video about?

  • Final comment. No one in my family has died from cancer, diabeties, stroke, or heart attack in my family. So I guess your're barking up the wrong tree. I don't argue the merits if meat is or is not good, I don't like the hyprocricy. If I were an Inuit (Eskimo to the uneducated.) does this mean I will not get into heaven as proclaimed by several religious groups? I was directed to his page by a veggie eating person. I was drawn into a world I simple don't agree with.

  • Several years ago an obese woman about 3 customers behind saw what I had placed on the counter. She said, "You know that there is sugar in those drinks don't you"? I opened one up, took a sip and said just as loud, "Yep your'e right. And it tastes good too!" Everyone laughed so hard the woman waddled out the door leaving her groceries behind, which by the way was filled with all sorts of junk food.. Maybe sugar was bad for her, but don't include me in "YOUR' health problems.

  • meat if you can afford it, to everyone else, just make do with potato or water

  • Oh yes before I go back to watching the Discovery Channel;. I just finished two BLT's with plenty of bacon and lettuce. So did my girlfriend, but whereas I used white bread, she had hers on brown. Imagine that!

  • You don't seem to understand that, yes, you're family may not be obese, but that's because in SOME families, there is a genetic predisposition for high metabolism, and some families just don't get fat. But we are not just talking about weight here. 8 of the 10 most preventable deaths in the world are caused by poor diet and lack of exercise. So if you had anyone in your family die of stroke, or diabetes, or heart attack, or cancer, guess what, it was probable somehow linked to the food.

  • Beside, what are you going to say when a 747 lands on your head? Well at least I ate healthy.

Sorry to have stirred up a pot and messed up your day, but since someone stirred up my pot, I'm giving it back You know the old saying, stick and stones................

I wil leave ya'll to bicker amoungst yourselves about the merits of not eating meats. Bye-bye.

  • There is no obesity in my family. My mother just turned 80 last May and can probably outrun me. My father unfortunately passed away in 1998, but he too was still going strong anhd had no fat. I am the oldest, but my brother and sisters are very healthy and they too have no fat..

  • What I hate is when people try to cram down my throat what they feel works for them. It simple does not work for me. My ex-wife's mother-in-law was and if she is still alive a vegetarian and she required B-12 injections twice a month to replace the B-12 that she was not getting by not eating meats. The best part was not once did she advocate I should eat strictly vegetables. I loved her. She was also 7th Day Adventist.

  • Comment removed

  • I live in Canada now but remain an American. A lot of Canadians are on some form of health kick craze. Forgive me if I get the religion worng, but i think it is 7th Day Adventist that advocate those who eat meats have no place in Heaven. I walk the other way as this suggests that a large population of the Earth's people will never make it to see God. Hypercritical.

  • We go out once or twice a week dancing, we walk our dog every night and she swims everyday. I would but I work. She also rides a bike twice daily.

    I

  • I'm not a cattleman. I'm a red blooded black American. I'm also a Vietnam Veteran. I eat McDonald's twice a week, Wendy's and Arby's too. My girlfriend, who is white and from Holland, eats more vegetable than I but makes darn sure the freezer is chocked full of meats. She is 64. She too does not have an ounce of fat and looks darn good for her age. Since I am home before her, she makes sure that there is a reminder to start the grill up before she gets home.

  • I have been a vegetarian since I was 30. I am now 64. I take no meds. I have probably only been sick for a total of 10 days in 34 years. My sons, who all eat over processed meat are probably each sick a few days a year. It's really pretty simple. Livestock is not raised naturally, so you get all of the crap that goes in them.

  • It's simple. Buy grass-fed pasture raised meat.

  • Why eat meat? There is no real benefit.

  • Really? 100million years of evolution says there is. Your digestive track is closer to a wolf than a gorilla. Meat has been on the menu for so long for a reason. Don't kid yourself. Just eat clean and you will see the benefit.

  • actually your digestive track is extremely similar to vegetarian animals...look it up

  • No, YOU look it up. We are omnivores. Deal with it.

  • whether we are omnivores is a different question than what type of animal our digestive tract resembles. and it resembles an herbivore's. i have no reason to look it up, i've read about it before - thus i know that your statement is being pulled directly out of your herbivoric ass.

  • Okay genius. Tell us where we can find this incorrect information.

  • Try eating some raw meat and see how your "wolf-like" digestive tract handles it.

  • Your comment is a result of some absurd predisposition to eating meat. Argue all you want about a digestive system that you cannot see even though it happens that it is closer to a gorilla than a wolf (You are wrong.). Check out the teeth. Our teeth are similar to herbivores not omnivores, and you don't need to dissect to figure it out. Further, vegetarian cultures, and there are a lot of them, are healthier than non vegetarian cultures. (an absolute irrefutable fact).

  • So you're suggesting I get my B-12 elsewhere? Everyone I have spoke to that is a vegatarian has to take B-12 injections.

  • That's easier said than done. The FDA doesn't regulate slaughterhouses very well, and there are so many hollow words in the food industry.... For example, free-range chicken? That means a filthy warehouse, filled with sick hens, with a tiny door on the side that leads to a tiny (outdoor) fenced pit of mud.

  • I am a 61 year old male. I refuse to eat healthy foods. i have never been sick; have never missed a day of work. I have no body fat and can see my feet looking down without bending over. I don't smoke, take drugs or drink wine, and or alcoholic beverages. It frosts me when I see commnets like this.

  • I would also like to add what do you tell the Inuit's and those of the north or south that do not have access to vegetables? That is why this whole thing is so hypercritical and misleading. Genetics people! Genetics!

  • It is not genetics. That comment proves your ridiculous bias. How many fat people do you see in old newsreels. There was only one obese person in my high school in the 60s. Now, they fill classrooms. Where did the current obese crowds get their genes, from pigs? Your credibility is shot.

  • So it frosts you when someone has an alternative opinion? Perhaps it is diet related hypertension. Perhaps you have never been sick or your a cattleman. I have eaten out twice a day for a decade. With rare exception the people who I observe with the "unhealthy" diets are obese and the people at the salad bar, or a vegetarian restaurant are not. My lake house is in a city where 73% of people are obese and the restaurants around here don't know the word "vegetarian".
