  • Can you load drum mags with stripper clips?

  • @dasdew2

    not very easily

  • It's such a bummer that Clinton banned Chinese gun imports in the 90s. It basically made the Chinese weapons that were imported before that time very valuable. I would really like 1 of those Chinese drums or had the foresight to collect some of the Chinese weaponry when it was still cheap.

  • when i was consript those magazines were pretty cheap 3 euros per one

  • chines amo omg . :O

  • the drums are harder than turtle shells.

  • Great informational vid!! I have a ratchet type drum that was jammed and couldn't find any info on how to take it apart. I thought I would mess it up so it's been sitting almost a year. After your vid, unjammed it hella' quick and easy. Back in action. Thanks!

  • @buzzalert

    Cool, glad it helped

  • i like both but the wind up one has that cool storage option, but takes longer to load, and the other on might be faster to load but cant really be stored loaded

  • Does it disturb anybody else that he is using a bullet as a pointing device?

  • @mbarkhau

    nope

  • @GunWebsites Is the Romanian drum magazines okay? What about American Tactical? What about bulgarian?

  • @GunWebsites If you know a place or website to get original Chinese #9396 drums please PM me. I've only come across 1 in 10 yrs of going to gun shows in my state and he wanted $150 LMAO. Also the Bulgarian Circle 10's 75rnd drums or 30 round mags I would take.

  • @mbarkhau Not at all

  • @mbarkhau

    What about it?

  • @mbarkhau No, gentle people do not disturb on that, what they do disturb on is people that use their D*ck as a thinking device.

    Just like you

  • @GunWebsites ok but i just know this type as a bannana clip or mag

i dont remember where i heard it but once i did it just seemed right :|

  • @MrGermansheppard

very old, and incorrect is all ..

  • @MrGermansheppard Only inexperienced shooters say clips, that is one of my biggest pet pieves it is not a clip it is called a magazine!!

  • Nice video

  • battery died LOL

  • TAPCO makes some real good polymer 40 box magazine

  • @godzilla1463

    not IMO

  • cant you load the closed drum with clips? it would make realoding faster if you already have some preloaded clips laying around :P

  • chinese rounds? as in made in china? yea-No thanks.

  • @Flamingrune77 Uh, chinese rounds still go bang everytime, there is nothing wrong with them at all from what i can tell.

  • @pontiacmaniac2 I find that things from china do not work as well as things from the US/Germany/Japan.

  • @Flamingrune77

I normally agree, unless you are talking AKs

  • @GunWebsites Really? I've never read up on chinese AKs very much, let alone owned or fired one. Any good? (Well made, good to shoot, etc.)

  • Mine does not fit in my mak 90, help?

  • @Charlozz123 do you know which of the drums it is my bulgarian drum fits and works fine on my mak 90

  • How many winds should I do when its loaded when im ready to shoot? Will it go through all 75 with having to wind it again?

  • @GunWebsites why is the title above the video different from the title at the beginning of the video?

  • @EquipaPatriot

    why does that matter comrade?

  • @GunWebsites it got me excited for a few seconds thinking you messed up and were about to review drum magazines for he 5.45 x 39 round, instead of the 7.62 x 39 round. I thought for a moment there was light at the end of the tunnel and drum mags for the AK-74 really existed in the United States. But my hopes were shattered when you began talkin' about drum mags for the AK-47.

  • @EquipaPatriot there are ak74 drums, they're custom made, but the bad news they go for around $300

  • the mystery drum purse is from china

  • where do u get most of ur drums an r any of them preban ?

  • Can someone please tell me how much a russian 75 round drum magazine is worth?

  • Unloaded my 75 drum mag by releasing the spring tension, tipped it over to let out the rounds and the follower fell! The inside will not rotate at all; even when the there is no tension. Unable to out rounds back in. Any ideas? I bought this brand new. This sucks...

Great Vid by the way... Thanks..

  • @Boogiethrash I had the same exact problem with mine today...hoping I'll get it figured out this weekend.

  • Comment removed

  • great tuturial!!! video quality was superb also. i just got two korean drums from centerfire systems & had no idea how to load then....thank you gunwebsites....great job teaching a polack!

  • 55 minutes.

  • Heygunwebsites, I know you probaby wont answer me but I was hoping you could please let me know what is the better of the two Drums? The hindged Drum or the Closed Drum? I am sorry if I pissed you guys off for some reason... I still dont know what I did.

  • @MilitantPIG

the hinged one is best IMO

  • @GunWebsites Cool man, thanks for the reply. I'll go Hinged.

  • @GunWebsites Why would the hinged one be better??

  • @GunWebsites Just wondering, are "banana" clips legal? I asked some of my friends and the answers varied.

  • @TheFirecracker75

banana clips is an outdated and incorrect term for magazines.. magazines are legal almost everywhere in the USA

  • @TheFirecracker75 They are legal. I recommend clamping two 30 rnd mags together:) I love it.

  • How good are the Korean drum mags on Centerfire Systems?

  • @TheAk47Enthusiast

    i haven't seen them

  • @GunWebsites So when you wind up a drum magazine would it be ready for self-defense... indefinitely? Or would you have to crank it when you heard a bump in the night. lol

  • @TheAk47Enthusiast i thought koreans didnt make these

  • Thanks for the thorough explanation. I just got a Korean drum and really didn't know how to load it. Thanks again.

  • which drum works better?

  • thanks to some douche bags that tried to rob a bank with these on their ak's california civies cant own these. legally

  • @icanttailwhip

sounds like it is the knee-jerk actions of your legislature..no?

Why not work to reverse the laws if you don't like them?

  • @icanttailwhip tried ? they actually robbed it, and had 9mil$ home as well, they tooked no hostages, killed nobody, bigger better weapons, better armors, even police said they could escape, why did they not ? some things don't add up, who would after getting 9mil from robberies go and start a shoot=out with the police ?

  • @CatalinRc i know the story. they became very fluent in firearms and body armor to pull it off wounding several underarmed cops. unleashing a borage of lead with their DRUMMED AK 47's. i live in the south this does not affect me although i have done what i can to help my fellow gun enthusiasts. guns are one of my passions and i hate seeing the calfornians an the canucks suffer wth low capacity guns.

  • @CatalinRc

I would say the drugs in their system, the anger of being shot and adrenaline clouded their minds.

They were by NO means professionals, their equipment was good but they had terrible training, 1 guy couldn't clear a stove-pipe jam and they both just fired full auto without aiming.

If they were shooting to kill like Nelson or Dillinger it would have been a VERY dark day in Los Angeles.

  • @icanttailwhip No its the douche bags in goverment of california.Thats the reason why. Thats why I hate libs.

  • Comment removed

  • @icanttailwhip Like you need barrel mags, I have 45 round mags and they are big enough.

  • @icanttailwhip and the funny thing is if i really wanted to i could easily sneak a drum magazine or 2 into California from az and rob a bank with them i hate stupid bans like that

  • @icanttailwhip

    Yeah, that's not true.

  • @xxxxts No hes right, google the North Hollywood Shootout, CA's strict firearm laws stem from this incident, this is also why "armor piercing" 7.62x39 are illegal.

  • @Mako561

No, he's wrong. It is perfectly legal to possess/own a high capacity ammunition feeding device in the state of CA, however it is illegal to give, lend, sell, import, or manufacture past the date of Jan 1st 2000. If you happen to find it on a park bench it is completely legal to pick up and use.

IIRC "Armor piercing" rounds are illegal for import, not illegal to own/possess. Please get your facts straight before telling people what is illegal to have and what isn't.

  • @icanttailwhip High Incident Bandits?

  • Can you fold that style stock with the drum magazine in the gun?

  • @Tendrop711

no, well it can fold, but not all the way

  • @GunWebsites Thanks for the response

  • the start of the vid kinda looks like a terrorist cave in the middle east

  • everyone who owns an Ak has to have atleast one drum, if only for the cool factor. a tip to prevent rust is flitz gun and knife wax.

    good video, thumbs way up!

  • Do you know anything about new production korean drum mags as seen on aimsurplus

  • @TheMacmanr

not really, just heard of them

  • I wish tapco would make repro drums though

  • what about the longass one

  • mines fell apart .... the wheel detached from the drum itself ...

  • is there any difference in quality between the chinese and bulgarian?

  • @LedZeppelinXV

not really, both are well made IMO

  • @GunWebsites Is there difference in quality between Romanian and Bulgarian or Chinese or other?

  • @Fightnight92

I think they are all well built

  • can you use stripper clips on the ones that load from the top

  • @MILLATERYBOY

    not that I know of

  • were can i buy an ak47 from?

  • @hongkong57 local pawn shop, gun store, gun show, or transfer from website, don't spend more than $500, learn from my mistake.

  • u could wipeout a platoon with 100 round

  • I AGREE WITH GLOCKANIMAL,,, FRICKIN AWESOME VIDEO WELL DONE 10 STARS...THANK YOU FOR THE variety of the drumm mags info!!

  • oh sorry my question was already answered in your video

  • are there other drums...... that can carry more than 50 bullets??

  • @12ock There is one called a Beta C-mag for M16s and similar.. also, Colt's entry for the Infantry Automatic Rifle competition will probably use a 90-rd

  • damn kids get off my lawn

  • Good god lol! When the red army comes you shall be ready for them.

  • Ive Heard that ak drums are fantastic although for ar-15/m16 horrible

  • I have 2 chinese style drums and 1 russian drum the russian one is deffinatly mor durrable but I keep 1 cinese style drum loaded up in case of zombies :)

  • not trolling, but the way you loaded the drum is very dangerous, iliterally almost lost a finger loading the way you did, if you insteadhold the tension release button down and spin the carriage around there will never be any tension to fight and it saves on beating up your spring

  • have you had any experience with the korean made chinese style drums imported by ATI? thinkin of getting a pair of them thanks for any further info

  • Will using drums put excessive wear on the left feed ramp?

  • i thought drums were illegal....

  • @ekici123

    why would anyone think that?

  • @GunWebsites Because it carry's more ammo than a usual magazine Therefore could be used in a robbery for continues firing... Against law enforcements.

  • @GunWebsites because people dont pay attention.

  • @ekici123 Drums are legal. It's the guitars that are illegal.

  • @ekici123 area specific

  • @ekici123 Drums are illegal in the states behind enemy lines, i.e. NY, unless your gun is of pre-ban manufacture or the drum is of pre-ban manufacture, although the law is very grey and subject to interpretation against you..

  • @Maat922 Thanks for explaining but I'm not from America so I'm not familiar with you're laws.

  • @ekici123 That's ok, there are so many, we can barely understand them either,

  • I know who's house I'm going to when zombie apocalypse rolls around. Great vid.

  • @rightsman123 Gun people just think it's so funny when people say that. I tell them to bring their own supplies, including guns and ammo, or they get stacked on the porch with the rest of the zombies!

  • how did he even get his hands on this stuff? he must have alot of money & some kind of special license.

  • @dudegutarman12 nope its just a mag you need no license thank God.

  • Gun law in California SUCKS!

  • I always wondered what the inside of one of those looked like, very informative vid.

  • These would fit a AK-47 draco pistol right?

  • No 100 rd drum??

  • which style seems to be the most reliable. if either? thanks

  • well in mi country they call da 50 round mags "banana" mags

  • that's a freaking 90° cirkel part thing

  • You'll shoot your eye out.

  • I would crap my pants if i ever saw one of these being aimed at which did happen when i was mexico visiting some family fierce looking aren't then awsome collection and how much did your aka cost?

  • 1. M1 Garand

    2.AK-47

    3.AK-74

    4.M16, M4, AR-15, etc

    5.1903 Springfield

  • love the sound the round makes when they bump into eachother :3 im so sick

  • My favorite rifles

    #1 ACR

    # AK47

    #3 AK74

  • my favorite rifles

    @ACR

    AK47

    AK74

  • Thanks for the informative video. So Chinese made wind up drums go for around $400 now. That's good news I bought one from a guy for $100 only five years ago. If I decide to sell it I could make a nice profit but with things the way they are now I'll keep it a while longer.

  • To the best of my knowledge the AK 47 shoots the 7.62x39 am i wrong? Then why dose the description say its a AK47 yet the in video description says 5.45x39 witch I was thought to believe was an AK74 or AK type 100 series? And the round's I see on the table are 7.62 ammo I think what you mean was the saiga 7.62x39 but nice review. Wow 100 round AK drum's well I guess you learn something new every day.

  • @ DEFCONeredd

watch again with sound, that should help explain things

  • @DEFCONeredd AK-101 and AK-102 shoot 5.56x45 mm; AK-103 and 104 shoot 7.62x39 mm; AK-105 and AK-74M shoot 5.45x39 mm.

  • @RaptorGP your right that is true

  • Never mined.

  • whats up with that huge banana clip?

  • that is gd review on ak drums - dont know bout them much b4.

b nice 2 c how u loadin box magazine with them amo straps.

  • Which drum or mag is most reliable? Lets say in a war situation where u can only crry so much. which would u chose to take with u?

  • all are as reliable as the others = very reliable

  • Sorry if I missed an old post but how reliable are the Drum Magazines? I have heard that they jam more than the 30 round is that true?

  • @Fightnight92

That is not my experience.. and I've seen quite a few drums

  • Comment removed

  • @Fightnight92 Yea, heard the Romanians are bad if you don't know how to use them.

  • i wonder how big and how heavy a

    50bmg drum magazine woud be

  • yeah, people can make big difference

  • I have both Romanian and Chinese drum mags. I had the Romanian loaded and under tension for 2 years IIRC before shooting it. Operated flawlessly. Bought the Romanian new for $80, the Chinese used recently for $110. There are new batches of "hinged" drum mags being imported now that the bans lifted from other countries now such as South Korea and Romania. Probably not as good as the preban Chinese drums. Those can be had new for $100. Prices should be dropping unless gunban talk starts up again.

  • LoL at 17:05. No, you didn't screw up. These 75 rounds drum mags can actually hold 76 rounds. I know mine does. Try it.

  • OK, good.. I thought I missed something

    thanks

  • ich kann dier sagen woher die magazintasche kommt es ist eine für´n ppsh magazin

  • ya lol they do. i think thompsons are the same way

  • @epicsr 77 with the ak:D

  • 50 lol...

it would look strange on a gun...

  • I've seen advertizements for South Korean AK-47 drums and other magazines. I thought that was unexpected, seeing as how South Korea has practically nothing to do with the Kalašnikov, AFAIK. I think they cost in the low-100s.

  • Yup, I have a 40 rounder from Korea.. but I haven't seen the drums .. yet

I suspect they build them just because they know they can make a profit, not because they use them in a military role

  • I found while loading the drum mag.... While spinning it clockwise if you hold the spring release. No spring pressure will be added. Making a way easier loading.

Also it prevents you from having to "release" the spring after a loading for storage. But doing it this way you would have to rewind the spring to full tension.

At 14:50 you released the spring after ammo was holding pressure. Holding the "button" while spinning avoids having to do this.

    Great video regardless 5/5

  • cool, I'll give that a try

    thanks

  • which style tends to be more reliable?

  • well chinese work better but break easier.. so it's a tie..IMO

  • I have a 100rnd. I have never filled it up I just like hanging on to it because they are very hard to find.

  • I would prolly do the same

  • AK Stripper clips are curvaceous.

  • feel like donating to a brother in need?

  • 100 round mags? holly crap that must weight a tonne when fully loaded....

  • I'd have so much fun with that =)

    *****

  • nice video . where could i buy a 100 rd drum? all of the ones i see are 75 rd.

  • quite hard to find them these days.. gun auctions?

  • I see you have these displayed in the video with a modified Saiga rifle, but I've recently heard that Saiga rifles can not use regular AK mags (including the drums you have)... I have a regular mag and have used it with my saiga, but after hearing this I went back and retested it and it seems that it is true, and regular AK mags will jam the saiga on the last round. Any input and hopefully ways to fix this problem?

  • add a feed ramp

  • Tell me how! Or make a video of how, cuz I would love to! Thanks for the reply!

  • Can you use those LULA Magazine Loaders on the top loading drums?

  • dang.. I should have mention that.. I had one sitting right there too

No they do not work, the drum looks like a mag, but it's not really a double stack (like normal AK mag) so the LULA just pushes the first round down and gets stuck

  • no, it does cost anything.. but you have to have a lot of videos, a lot of subscribers and a lot of views per video

    (I think that's the requirements)

Once you have all that you can apply, then You Tube decides if you qualify

Do a search in the You Tube help section for more info

  • Partners can make longer videos

  • I have a question. I fill my 30round Mags up all the way with bullets. However, I only plane to use the gun in a home defense situation." I'm not entrusted in using it for sports shooting or anything of that nature". But I just wanted to know will my mag spring wear out over time from not using it? I'm not new to guns, however I'm a little new with my AK-47. First time having one. [-8

  • springs wear out with use.. (open and close)

So sitting empty (extended) or sitting full (compressed) doesn't hurt them.. but loading and unloading over ad over will wear the springs out

So you are OK to store mags full

  • Good, I'm only going to use the gun when I need to, so I should be good. Thanks for the info. 83 I just wish more gun guys on Youtube talked about dangers of spring wear out of the mags, and the issues they can cause in a real life situation. Like jams.

  • If your using good magazines, either steel or high quality polymer with good springs you should be fine, otherwise try loading just 20 rounds to keep the pressure on the rounds and feed lips lower

  • I do have very good mags. So I should be fine. Thanks.
