You guys have a great team. But, until they started producing, the Verizon Center was a ghost town. I have an uncle who has seasons for the Caps, and has had them since 1997. He said since last Feburary, everyone comes to the games. Before that, it was a ghost town. Hell, I remember being in Washington for a Rangers-Caps game last December, and it was only 1/3 pack.

In fact, name one city that has both an NHL and NFL team that is an NHL city. And you can't say Detroit, because they didn't even sell out games this year. This city has plenty of hockey fans. This is also one of the busiest, if not the busiest city in America. With the first half of the season having football, and basketball what do you expect?
Not like the Caps didn't have a Calder finalist, the leading scorer among defensemen, an '07 all-star goalie, or a future hall of fame center to go along with their season long injured captain and top 6 center.
