tracktactics org you're looking at like $60 to $90 to get on a track.... next question. (ps- I use TT quite a bit, I'm getting tired of the street, it's lame compared to balls out track)
Might get a shot at the tight side tomorrow. South Grade is a fun ride on a weekday and I almost always meet nice cagers who scoot over to let me pass.
There are SO MANY BETTER roads in canyons in SoCal ... with less HEAT on the way there, aka- CHP. It's too well known bro, get a new spot. That ones ate up like a hooker.
i was there last month. the ride was awesome it was my first so i was riding really slow. i took a different route going down , saw the nice view of the lake. Check out my vids. the quality inst good though.
thanks for the vid, it brought back memories as I now sit in central florida and no riding like that for hundreds of miles...i left a nice bike on the tight side..
that was ok.. i think my record run was a little under 7 minutes from the split.... in my car at 3 in the mornin haha.. on bike it was around 8.. we timed it from a complete stop at the bottom to the yeild sign at the top.
You people are a menace to soceiety!! You could have killed someone with your recklass driving/riding! Take it to the track motherf00ker!! The street is no place for riding like that, what a squid!!!
Do you realize how expensive it is to go to the track? How much time you have to devote to it. That's why we live in SoCal, to use the roads as we see fit! It's just a back road anyway, no one besides us motorcyclists are ever on it!
I like what's happening here... it's like an international interracial orgy of motorcylce love happenning right before our eyes! Free love brother, FREE LOVE. Pass that joint... we're gonna get F*uckered!!
@psybab well... theres us, and the angry residents who frequently decide its a great idea to put oil on the tight side roads to increase our traction =D o wait... that has the opposite effect... no wonder so many of us go down there...
So you're saying canyons are different than public streets how exaclty? Seems to me they have the same guardrails, dirt, rocks, oil spots, oncoming traffic that doesn't stay in their own lane, etc. BTW... Sense of humor FAIL.
Wow. Didn't see many cars. I've been planning to take a trip south to ride Palomar. When would be the best day of the week to go? i.e. least amount of cars?
Ride any weekdy and you will be pretty clear. AVOID the weekends. I see 1-2 craches every weekend I have been there including 2 yesterday, 2 last weekend, and 6 2weeks before that.

Well now that you put it that way... CARRY ON!! Now I'm back to shopping on Amazon for a beer bottle holder for my Harley! Peace!

Make sure you pick up an ice chest to fit in your tail/saddle bags. That way you'll be able to carry some to share with us sport bike riders. :)

dangerous yes, streets NO. The ride took place at a "CANYON" just a little different than streets. Secondly, STFU

Weekdays are the best. Very little traffic the majority of the time.
Weekends can be a complete mess, but usually aren't bad if you're there early. Once the squids start showing up, it's time to leave.

If you go on a weekend, just go early.
