voxsingularis- 911 calls are public record. All the media has to do is request them. I am sure that the 911 operator didn't call the media and give them the recording. There is nothing "odd" about it at all. Now an interesting use of time and resources by a law enforcement official would be Sheriff Scott of Lee County, FL working the crowd into a frenzy at a Palin rally by saying Barack Hussein Obama while in uniform and using a police vehicle to drive to the rally. Not smart.
